What is your favorite warning lable wheather it be because it's stupid, or funny, or something.  My all time favorite would have to be the one I saw on a pack of bottle rockets.  it reads, "WARNING!  FLAMMABLE!"

Just about all of the ones Rugar puts on their pistols ,screws up the looks of the gun and if you have to be told that a gun can be dangerous you need to find another hobby.....

I like the ones on blow dryers:
"Caution, do not use in bath tub!"

Was this actually a problem? Did people actually try this?

My favorite is the Mcdonald' coffee cup that now says "Warning: Contents may be Very Hot"

Thanks to that dumb bitch who sued Mickie D's because she was holding some piping hot coffee in-between her knees that burned her when it spilled. I think of her every time I get coffee at Mcdonald's.

A friend of my sister's had an old, beater Plymouth Duster that was lucky to do the speed limit downhill with a tailwind.  I don't know where he got them, but he put warning stickers on the rear roll-down windows that said, "warning do not open at speeds in excess of 230 miles per hour".

The Army has some real good ones on it's equipment. Like on the AT4 and on claymore mines. This end toward enemy. But, this is my favorite.

I don't remember who originally made this, but I saved it and laugh at it all the time.

On one of my windshield sun screens.  "WARNING DO NOT OPRERATE VEHICLE WITH SUNSCREEN IN PLACE"  "WARNING REMOVE SUNSCREEN BEFORE OPERATING VEHICLE"

Geez, and I used to have my most enjoyable driving experiences operating my vehicle with my sunscreen in place. Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes closed now.

My two favorite warning labels:

On the top step of a ladder: "Do not stand above this step".

and next to the water outlet on a JetSki: "Do not point exhaust towards mouth or other orifice".

My favorite sign of all times was in the window of an Opthamologist..."Eyes examined while you wait". No thanks, I'll just drop them off and come back later. [beer]

I love those things.  I saw one on a Ditch Witch that had the guy with his arms in the air and his legs wrapped about 5 times around an axle.  I could practically hear the screams.

Hah my 3 year old son loves those.. every time he sees one he points and says "Hey, what's that guy doin?" with a big smile on his face.  There was actually a web site about the stick figure guy, about all the stuff he's gone though, as if it was actually a real guy who got shocked, chopped, crushed, etc. I'll have to dig that up again...

On the Kellogg's cereal box flap, it says, and I quote: "If it doesn't say Kellogg's on the box, it's not Kellogg's in the box!"

Or the bags of peanuts that say, "directions: Open bag, eat nuts"

At Kroger where I work, there's a box crusher machine that makes bales of cardboard that weigh probably close to a half a ton. Prominently on the front it shows a hand (not a stick figure hand, this is a high-quality outline) with the four fingers severed at middle of the fingers and blood spurting out of both sections.

These are actual warnings and instructions found on real products. They will make you wonder one or more of the following:

· Why haven't we followed William Shakespeare's advice and killed all the lawyers?

· What in the name of Almighty God are we teaching our children in school?

In the instructions for a hairdryer: “Do not use while sleeping.”

On a bag of Fritos: “You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.”

On a bar of Dial soap: “Directions: Use like regular soap.”

On a frozen dinner package: “Defrost before serving.”

On the box of a hotel-provided shower cap: “Fits one head.”

On a package of Tesco's Tirimisu dessert: “Do not turn upside down.” (Printed on the bottom of the box)

On a package of Marks & Spencer bread pudding: “Product will be hot after heating.”

On the packaging for a Rowenta clothes iron: “Do not iron clothes on body.”

On a bottle of Boots Children's Cough Medicine: “Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking.”

On a package of NYTOL (a sleeping aid): “Warning: May cause drowsiness.”

On an American Airlines packet of nuts: “WARNING! Contains nuts.”

On a chainsaw: “Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands.”

From the “Translation Faux Pas” Department:

On a Korean kitchen knife: “Warning: Keep out of children.”

On a string of Chinese-made Christmas lights: “For indoor or outdoor use only.”

On a Japanese food processor: “Not to be used for the other use.”

Outside the Taj Mahal, there is supposed to be a sign forbidding women as it is a holy place, but it lost something in the translation.

Instead it reads, "It is forbidden to enter a woman here"

My freshman year as a Division 1 defensive tackle I experimented with anabolic steroids. In the course of six months I went from 240 to 260lbs. My benchpress went from 325 to 375lbs. My squat went from 505 to 600lbs. My power clean went from 275 to 350lbs. My forty yard dash went from 4.92 to 4.77 seconds. My vertical leap went from 29 to 33 inches. I could run 24 110 yard dashes in under 14 seconds with 30 seconds rest between sets. My agility test time went down 20%.
I'll never forget the warning that came with those CIBA pharmaceutical Dianabol tablets: ANABOLIC STEROIDS DO NOT ENHANCE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE!!!

At a store I use to work at we took that sign and moved it to the bottem step.  Then caught the manager in a photgraph stepping above that step.

Pretty funny at the time.  We never let him forget it either.

Helldog several years ago when I was deputy we investigated a possible child abuse case. The parents used an old dry wall mud bucket to soak soiled diapers in. Their two year old child was playing in the bucket and fell head first into it and they did not know. Because the buckets are very stable and don’t tip over and the shape pins the child in they drown. At first we thought it was a case of child abuse (homicide) after doing some research and our investigation we found out that it was not that rare that children were drowning in these buckets. It was not long after that incident that I began to see the warning labels. Every time I see this warning it is a very nasty reminder of the incident.
