You might want to be sure he could legally keep it. Seem to remember something about not being able to personally keep gifts over a certain value.

I just looked it up.

You're thinking of foreign gifts.

No restrictions on the value of Domestic gifts.

I'm in for at least $20. Send it to "Mr. George W. Bush of Crawford, Texas, c/o Laura Bush, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave." That might get around the "official gift" business, though I don't know for sure.
Link Posted: 11/3/2004 10:58:39 AM EDT
How would it be delivered?

I'd say send him this old rusty chinese crap pellet gun I've got. Along with a note to enjoy it belly crawling, decoying, playing games and outthinking the deer.

Pour concrete in the barrel and etch the receiver so it fragments when it explodes. THEN you can send Kerry a gun as a gift.
Link Posted: 11/3/2004 11:39:41 AM EDT
Instead of sending sKerry a rifle, how about using you tax refund to buy one and send sKerry a pic and a note about how you are using the President's tax cut to support small businesses (FFLs/gun manufacturers).

Even better, buy it for your child.
