I saw an article on the shotgun in the pic above in SOF.

Someone else said it before, but it applies-
That Saiga looks like it was fucked in the ass by the TAPCOfairy.

I see no reason why it couldn't be used for hunting.  A 12 GA shell is a 12 GA shell, reguardless of the delivery system.

I'll bet the mag price is brutal. Valtro shotgun mags for the pump PM5 were around $65 each.

Hopefully these are much lower.

Did anyone take the time to read the ad?  Besides the bad translation, it says the gun has an interlock to prevent firing when the stock is folded, but another version can.

On the upshot, it does have an ambi-safety, chrome bore and gas cylinder, as well as being "an official gun", whatever that means...

I do see a market.  If only the Beta Company would make mags for it...

The original Saiga 12g are pretty scarce right now.  I bought one when they first came out for 279 from cdnn.  Now someone has a used one listed for over 400.

I can't believe I finally bought a firearm that appreciated.

I need to look around and find someone who will do a conversion on it so that it can have a pistol grip and folding stock.  Anyone know of someone?

Does anyone have a more informative link on the next generation of Saiga-12s?
