As was said in the other thread, the Chief of Police is losing his composure. That's bad enough, but...

The Major this morning was live on WLW shouting, swearing, indignantly demanding help, and pointing the finger of blame at everybody....except himself. Disgusting. Personal responsibility? Forget it. He is leading by example and the result is obvious.

Hey hey hey. We have worthless, self-absorbed, dishonest elected leaders too.

<ban> worthless people elect worthless leaders </ban> (if they get to pick anyone at all)

Been that way for along time. Marc Morial and the previous administration was so corrupt also.

Isn't LA politics run by Democraps? If so, that would explain a lot.

Obviously, very obvious. Pathetic comes to mind as well.

The mayor was saying that he wasn't sure whether the govenor or the president was more to blame, but conveniently left himself out of the equation.

If New Orleans had a Guiliani, the situation would have been very different. Instead, they have a political animal, whose sole qualification is ..... I can't really figure it out. It ain't leadership ability, that's for sure.

New Orleans has had democratic leadership for decades. The most recent mayor Nagin is actually very progressive and sounds like a Republican sometimes. The current governor is a democrat and she is worthless. Her very first act when elected was to make MLK's birthday a state holiday. She is bought and paid for by the New Orleans black democratic groups.
The previous governor was Republican.

I admire your restraint JKS. I would have been much more vociferous.

Remember NOLA wanted to sue the gun manufacturers out of business. Clean up your own backyard before you clean up ours.

The govenor is to blame as well as the NO mayor. They will blame it on Bush, just watch.

Great.

The city had not plan for such a disaster. IT SHOULD HAVE. The state had no plan for such a disaster. IT SHOULD HAVE. They are to blame and in true fashion, they blame someone else. BOTH SHOULD RESIGN!
