That didn't take long. Thanks again, Dumbo!

He needs to go back to the old folks home and stay on his meds.

Somebody needs to tell him that many of the rifles people use today are derived from military firearms. Does that make them all bad?

What damage? Really???

Don't kid yourself. There is NOBODY who is "on the fence" re: gun control.

There are those who don't care what law abiding citizens posess, and those who want to regulate every part of our lives.

Zumbo is inconsequential. Pfft.

I don't buy his apology for a second. I'm sooo tired of hunting dudes telling me what I can/should hunt with.
So what can I do to ensure this won't happen again?

JZ is a hunting "elitist" who sees himself as better than the rest of us poor unwashed masses.

It will be interesting to see if his attitude changes after going hunting with TN.

Maybe... who knows.

But, the fact that he has not rebuked the brady campaign or mentioned the uselessness of the assault weapons ban, it means that he is just as uninformed now as he was when he wrote the blog entry.

I really didn't care if he liked people who hunt with EBRs but hell , to go out and call them terrorist rifles was a real 'Fudd' move . I love using my WSAR-10 as my main deer rifle its so handy , and nothing like having 30 rounds on tap when you stubble on a meth cooking operation in the woods here . Especially when they found that body a couple hundred yards from my place acouple months ago .

As an FYI:

Outdoor Life And Jim Zumbo Part Ways

By Todd. W. Smith

Outdoor Life magazine Editor-in-Chief Todd Smith released the following statement today regarding writer Jim Zumbo:

February 2007

In light of comments made by Jim Zumbo in his February 16, 2007 blog posting on the magazine’s website, Mr. Zumbo has offered to terminate his association with Outdoor Life, and the magazine has accepted his offer. Accordingly, he will no longer be contributing to the magazine in print or online. His final column with Outdoor Life will appear in the April 2007 issue, which has already gone to press.

We respect Mr. Zumbo's First Amendment right to free speech, and we acknowledge his subsequent apology and admission of error. However, Outdoor Life has always been, and will always be, a steadfast supporter of all aspects of the shooting sports and our Second Amendment rights, which do not make distinctions based on the appearance of the firearms we choose to own, shoot or hunt with.

We regret this turn of events, as Mr. Zumbo has been a good friend to this magazine and lifelong advocate for hunters and hunting rights.

We appreciate the comments we've received from our loyal readers about this matter and encourage them to continue to correspond with us. Please direct any additional comments to OLletters@time4.com.

Cabela's is trying to find a way out of their contract with him.

Zumbo is now officially RADIOACTIVE and nobody is to come within 500 yards of his stench.

It would seem that Field and Stream agrees with Zumbo.

Field and Stream sucks. Who reads it anymore?

The only damgage done by this man is to the antis agenda. It is now being used as a ralley cry from our side, and hopefully this will momentum will continue.
