Well Carry permit here.

Since you it drops the need to have NCIS call as long as you buy 1 gun 3 of those 5 years it pays for itself.

What had been free became a $75 renewal ($100 for 1st time) for 5 yrs. w/ the Minnesota Personal Protection Act.

Of course the legality of the MPPA is in court...

Not really. That works out to $35 a year. Mine works out to $50 a year.

This reminds me.....I need to see if I can renew my TX permit.

Posession = Free (If your not a felon)
Open carry = Free
CCW = Training cost usually about $100 and $50 fee to the D.P.S. 4yrs
Registration?
We dont need no stinkin' Registration.
I love the free (so far) State of Arizona.
Link Posted: 9/24/2004 4:28:59 AM EST
$117 in Maryland. But, that is really only a donation to the state police since its next to impossible to actually get a permit. Oh, and its more invovled if you want to be able to wear a bulletproof vest while carrying.

What is a pistol permit?

Do you have to pay for a permit to own a pistol??

A CCW in Arizona is $40 or so. Is that what you guys are talking about?

Or do you live in really screwed up states?
Link Posted: 9/24/2004 5:20:49 PM EST
$25 for 4 years, no training requirement either. For some reason though it does not count for NICS?
Link Posted: 9/24/2004 5:28:10 PM EST
... In some of the nigtclubs in Arizona, if you don't have a pistol - they issue you one
Link Posted: 9/24/2004 5:28:53 PM EST
No such thing here....just proof of residency...a DL will do....a NICS check (free at a lot of places)....and done. I hope PA stays this way..been getting scared ever since they voted in a demoncrat Governor...and I see Kerry signs all over the damn place.

A Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit for Nevada residents costs $105.00 for five years, and a non-Nevada resident can obtain a three year permit for the same amount. Resident and non-resident applicants must complete an eight hour (min) course IN the State of Nevada. There is an additional fee for the course and tuition varies in price. Renewals are $85.00 and a four hour (min) renewal course must be completed. It is strongly suggested that the renewal course be completed at least six months before expiration due to the time factor of the permit renewal.

Although you can have as many guns on the permit that you choose, the permit is gun specific meaning that you must qualify with each handgun you wish to list on your permit.

I am an approved Nevada CCW Instructor. Contact me if you have any questions.

Be Safe.

Pistol Permit?????

What the hell is THAT!!??

Link Posted: 9/24/2004 6:32:37 PM EST

............ BUT, we shouldn't have to pay for a right.

How else is the state supposed to pay for all of the prosecutions of permit holders flashing their gun?
Link Posted: 9/25/2004 12:39:35 AM EST
Actually it is called "State of Alabama Pistol License", but is indeed a ccw license, for all of you who couldn't figure it out from my initial post.

"Pistol Permit" is just slang I suppose.
