You are either one way or the other. There is no grey area. And I can dispute it to the end.

Try me.

Yes, but can I be both Black and White. I am said to be extreme to each extent. And if I am both Black and White, Does that make me Grey?

I agree. Grey areas exist only because we allow it. When you come right down to it and force someone to take a firm position it will be either black or white.

I'd argue that virtually NOTHING is entirely black or white. Everything ends up some sort of shade of grey - even if very close to pure black or pure white.

On the surface, things that seem obvious always end up being more complex when you push them a little.

I would agree that decisions can be extremely complex, but at the end of the day an action is chosen. You can try to avoid making a black or white decision, but if it really comes down to it you will have to pick for or against. Not picking for is, by default, against.

I jump out of airplanes yet I consider myself conservative in my behavior.

Two separate things. Two separate decisions.

Is it always best to tell the truth

Example 1 : You know your significant other worked very hard on something , and they are really proud of it . You think it sucks , and they ask you what you think ................

Example 2 : Your child brings home a piece of artwork from school that they made for you .
It's the ugliest thing you've ever seen and they ask if you like it .................

Shades of Grey

Some things were perfectly clear, seen with the vision of youth
No doubts and nothing to fear, I claimed the corner on truth
These days it's harder to say I know what I'm fighting for
My faith is falling away
I'm not that sure anymore

Shades of grey wherever I go
The more I find out the less that I know
Black and white is how it should be
But shades of grey are the colors I see

Once there were trenches and walls and one point of every view
Fight 'til the other man falls
Kill him before he kills you
These days the edges are blurred, I'm old and tired of war
I hear the other man's words
I'm not that sure anymore

Shades of grey are all that I find
When I come to the enemy line
Black and white was so easy for me
But shades of grey are the colors I see

Now with the wisdom of years I try to reason things out
And the only people I fear are those who never have doubts
Save us all from arrogant men, and all the causes they're for
I won't be righteous again
I'm not that sure anymore

Shades of grey wherever I go
The more I find out the less that I know
Ain't no rainbows shining on me
Shades of grey are the colors I see
