Posting here as many people have been to Houston who don't post in TX HTF.

Going to conference in the Woodlands in February. Planning on skipping out and doing some shooting. Also, decent steakhouse for supper would be in order.

Would like to shoot sporting clays or FITASC. If not, rifle or pistol OK. The closer to the Woodlands the better but don't mind driving.

Any advice appreciated.

Flemings would be your best steak house in the Woodland.

Spring guns and ammo has indoor pistol and 5.56 shooting

clays would be better at Carter Country

American Shooting Center for sporting clays and 5 stand.  I doubt that they will have a FITASC parcours set up unless there happens to be a tournament while you are there.

Perry's Grill in the Woodlands is excellent!
My father and I go there for dinner every time I come back home.

The 7 finger pork chop is unbelieveable!

Cheers, y'all!

This for shooting clays. It's a drive. Carter's Country is much closer but is only mediocre.
Perry's for a good steak in The Woodlands, but if you really want to treat yourself and don't mind driving downtown... The Strip House cannot be beat. Pretty pricey, but it's worth every hundred!

Well.  We got here Thursday.  Buddy here wanted to go to thunder gun range.  Went yesterday and slogged through mud and shot AR. at least we had the whole range to ourselves!!!  Raining like crazy so no clays.

Wife wanted Italian so we ate at grotto.  Food ok and one dish was very good.  Service failed.
We did all get drunk though.

I hate Grotto.

Fleming's < Perry's

But someone mentioned Strip House, now I want their foie gras potatoes!
