I was thumbing through my copy of the Rand McNally World Fact Book today and I noticed that most of the countries in the world are part of the UN. So, I went to the UN site and pulled up a list of every member nation and when they joined. I then trnasposed the information onto a map. From that, it appears that currently there are only 3 nations that are not members of the UN (Switzerland, Taiwan, and Vatican). Switzerland has recently voted to join the UN. So, we are now down to 2 nations: Taiwan and the Vatican. I never realized the UN had taken over so much of the world. All they need to do now is take Taiwan and the only non-UN nation will be the Vatican, which is barely a nation.

Here are my maps:

You can scratch Taiwan off your list as well. Taiwan is considered part of China in the majority of the worlds political circles.

So that would only leave the Vatican as the only entity not to have joined the U.N.

I was watching CSPAN last night and saw a program about the U.N.  William Jasper from JBS was talking about his book The U.N. Exposed.  He detailed how the UN is run by criminals and exposes their agenda of world domination.  Nothing anybody here doesn't know.  Hopefully they can generate enough pressure to at least slow U.S funding of the UN.

JBS has a new site about it:

I can't stand the UN!  Why is it that whenever the SHTF it's always our responsibility to fix things, case in point Israel?  However when the UN wants to ram their socialist ideas for a new world order down our throats we are expected to fall into line?

In my way of thinking the un means united nations of which is good if the united nations of the world are trying to stop the edi ammins, stalins, hitlers, saddams, all dictators of the world! While NATO kinda was like the same means we can go to war against each other but we still have certain codes we should go by, as in treating captured soldiers(japan, korea, china had no such missgivings about the way they would do it) And that no 50 cal guns were to be used against people! but mortors were ok! the same feeling trancends into the public you can legaly carry anything up to a 45 cal.  But yes without the United Nations And there alliance we could have never even gone in to the mid east as it would have been America  against them! Not the world Or United World against them!  I might be wrong but the reason lake city and the GOV. don't have the surplus ammo anymore is as you know we are going to need it , The war ain't over yet and we may have to start off all over again with what george SR stopped when he had a chance to wipe out sadam!  United we stand you know the rest!! bob cole

The UN had nothing to do with Operation Enduring Freedom.

The US put together the alliance, not the UN.

Then again, why would the UN ? After all, Afghanistan is a UN Member Nation. But wait, so is the US.

That is the whole point. Once an alliance encompasses everybody or a large portion thereof it looses it's effect. Especially, when member nations are waging war on other member nations. At that point, nations chose sides based on previous alliances and the UN is therefore pointless.

For example:

The following nations have sided with the enemy:

Iran
Iraq

The following nations have sided with US:

Britain
Pakistan
Canada
Australia

There are 189 member nations of the UN. 4 have taken sides. Many others are trying to act nuetral. Of the 6 that took sides: 4 took our side and 2 the Afghani side. But, guess what the 2 that took the enemy's side are both Muslim nations that have always disliked the US and 3 of the 4 that took our side were US allies before the UN existed. So, why are 182 nations sitting on their asses doing nothing if this is an alliance. Also, whose side are they going to take. After all, both sides are member nations....

Interesting Information:

US Dues to UN (1946 - 1996) -- $32 BILLION
US (UN) Peacekeeping Costs -- $22 BILLION
------------------------------------------
US Tax Dollars Wasted -- $55+ BILLION

And this doesn't include Humanitarian aid, Dues over the last 6 years, etc...And, no interest has been added in. Total w/o interest comes to around $65 BILLION. Add in the amount of interest the US has paid on that money and we have wasted WAY too much money on these scumbags.

$6.6 BILLION for Peacekeeping operations in Somalia, Haiti, Rwanda, and Kosovo which managed for the most part to do nothing more than cost the lives of US Soldiers (Mogadishu).

Seein' as how we are the primary long arm of the UN, hows about a break on the dues. Like we will start to pay when somebody else starts to play on our scale. Everybody (there are exceptions) just sits back, watches the US represent the UN, and does nothing. This is stupid. The whole concept is stupid, until this "alliance" learns to act like one, I vote Screw'em!!!!
