A gorgeous young lady meets a Special Forces Master Sergeant in a bar. They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together.
They go back to his place. As he shows her around his apartment, she is struck by the fact that his bedroom is completely packed with literally hundreds of sweet, cuddly teddy bears which are neatly organized on three shelves running the length of the room along one wall. Small, adorable teddy bears fill the bottom shelf, cute cuddly medium-sized ones adorn the next higher shelf and Huge enormous bears are perched on the top shelf.

The woman is quite surprised that a manly Special Forces NCO would have such an extensive collection of teddy bears. Although she decides not to question him about it, she's actually quite impressed by this unexpected evidence of his sensitive side!

After another drink, she turns to him, invitingly..... they kiss softly........then again.... Soon their passion overwhelms them, and she leads him quietly to the bedroom.

After spending an intense night of passion with the Green Beret, while they are lying there together in the afterglow, the woman slowly rolls toward him and asks, smiling, "Well, how was it for you?"

Our 'senstive' SF soldier, stifling back a slight yawn replies: "Help yourself to any prize from the bottom shelf."

Lol, I know you were joking, sorry if I came off sounding mad or something.

LOL! I did not think you were mad, I just wanted to make sure. My quip was directed to my Navy friend who is also a member of AR15.com. He and I make jokes about each others Spec Ops group, but its all in good fun. Despite what most people think, Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces have alot of respect for each other in real-life and are not at arms with each other...most of the time, we do compete for certain missions. hug.gif

Hey I've seen that pic before!! IIRC it was under the title of USMC Force Recon though. Do you have any in-action pics of you SF_Chris?
Link Posted: 6/25/2004 5:22:06 PM EST
Yeah, I do not doubt that you have seen this pic before, it is pretty popular, as authentic pictures of Special Operations soldiers are very rare. Because there are so few out there this pic can be found on many Spec Ops websites.

This pic was from was a joint trainig exercise, 3 SEALs (including Ben) were teaching some advanced CQB tactics to a group of Marines. Even though USMC Force Recon is not an element of USSOCOM they and the SEALs still conduct training together. Most of Force Recon's and the Marine Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team's (FAST) advanced CQB tactics are taught by SEALs. If this picture wasn't of marine training, and was of, say, DEVGRU training, it would not be on the internet and it certainly wouldn't be posted by me! LOL

As far as me posting pics of myself; most of my pictures are personal photos that contain images of tops secret training facilities and tactics. I would be the last person who would post anything that would have even a remote possibility if giving any terroist any any idea of what to expect from the Combat Applications Group , (My bothers are the same way, that's why you don't see those kinds of pictures) but however, I have supplied pictures of me training some US Customs agents to a buddy of mine who runs a Special Operations website. I will post them in the LEO forum.

Wait a second!! Everwhere I find this pic it says it is 1SFOD Delta.
Link Posted: 6/25/2004 7:18:23 PM EST
It is...

Combat Applications Group is an official name for Delta Force.
1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta (1SFOD-D) and the Combat Applications Group (CAG) are one and the same. I hope that clears things up. And just for the record, SEAL Team Six is no longer in existence either, it is now the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU) Chris

I gotta agree with you on this one. Too much talking about it. When I was active duty, I was with 3/5th SF (support company, not a Green Beret) at Ft. Campbell, guys didn't brag to much about what we did. I can't imagine anyone in a more secretive organization than a regular SF Group talking too much about it. "Most pictures are of classified training areas and classified tactics" Well, if you are in a "classified" training are, I'm pretty sure cameras aren't allowed and any pictures taken would be "classified" documents and should not be in the hands of personnel outside of a secure facility. I was MI with 5th Group, kinda have a background on this one. I call BS.

Just so everybody knows...SEALS do not teach FAST CQB tactics. There are specially trained Marines pulled from MCSFBN that become CQB instructors and teach these tactics to FAST and other units. In fact, I've even heard stories of FAST Marines teaching SEALs CQB when they were on FDP to Yakuska, Japan.

This is obviously a parody, I do not doubt, that on occasions FAST Marines do train SEALs.

Actually, even though Force Recon and FAST companies are not elements of SOCOM, there is quite an overlap of training with the Navy SEALs , as I'm sure you might know, the USMC is a dept of the NAVY. I am not saying that FAST does not have its own instructors, but like you even said, there is an overlap. I have seen Army Special Forces train SEAL in weapons, I have seen SEALs train Army Special Forces in combat diving, I have seen Air Force PJs aid in teaching future 18Ds. and on and on and on.

I could care less about personal objections, but your last post was so self-contratictory and non-sensical that I wanted to set you straight.

Well, just so you know, I'm a member of 3rd FAST and I went through the god damn CQB school for MCSFBN in Chesapeake, VA. If you'd like to try to correct somebody's "mistakes" about their own MOS, you go right ahead, friend. But I can tell you from personal experience, there are no SEALs who TEACH CQB to Marines. The Marine Corps has developed its own tactics and its own training package to teach to the men of MCSFBN. There were no damn Green Berets there, there were no damn Delta boys there, and there sure as hell were no SEALs at this school. As far as "overlapping" goes, Marines from FAST do train with the SEALs on our FDP to Japan. A lot of the tactics that the SEALs teach are similar to ours, but we are taught to engage threats with a minimum amount of force, instead of dumping a mag into everything with a weapon. If you're going to try to tell lies, at least try to tell them where people don't know what the hell you're talking about.hug.gif

Oh you are? Did they add another company?Because they are not an element of SOCOM, I do not know much about the USMC's special groups, but the last time I heard, there were currently only two FAST companies, and a training unit, now I admit that they may have added another company, but if so, where is it?. 1st FAST Co. is located on Naval Operations Base (NOB), Norfolk, Virginia, and 2nd FAST Co. which is located at Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, Virginia. Both units operate under the control of the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion located on Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia. Are you a member of the training unit?

I see you're in AZ, where are you stationed?

Even if you are in FAST (which I doubt), then you just said it your self, all you have is "personal experience". Could it be that there are SEALs who teach advanced CQB tactics, but you just have not "personally experienced" them doing so? After all, you do not attend every single advanced training seesion of every single platoon. Or do you?

The Marine Corps has developed its own tactics and its own training package to teach to the men of MCSFBN.
I do not doubt that they have a few tricks of their own, but I am sure that whatever CQB tactics they teach, at least include the basics. Since you have went trough SFS and FAST training, then you can tell me what I am talking about when I refer to the "heavy" side of a room or you could tell me why, in many cases, part of an entry team will enter right away, while the other members delay for a few moments. Those are just some simple questions, and if you are interesed in proving yourself, then you can easily answer them.

There were no damn Green Berets there, there were no damn Delta boys there, and there sure as hell were no SEALs at this school.
I never said that Special Forces soldiers or CAGs teach FR or FAST marines, I said that Navy SEALs teach "advanced" CQB tactics. Notice I say "advanced", I do not mean that these SEALs are instructors at SFS or FAST training, or even part of the training unit, I just meant that if a group of FR or FAST Marines need to be taught an advanced skill that the training unit may not cover, then, the SEALs can be called in to teach this certain skill.

As far as "overlapping" goes, Marines from FAST do train with the SEALs on our FDP to Japan. A lot of the tactics that the SEALs teach are similar to ours
, Thank you for that instance of where SEALs are teaching Marines. But you kinda contradicted yourself... you said "there are no SEALs who TEACH CQB to Marines" but later you tell a story of SEALs teaching Marines different tactics.

but we are taught to engage threats with a minimum amount of force, instead of dumping a mag into everything with a weapon.
It is becoming more and more clear that you probably have never even met a SEAL, mush less trained with one. They do not dump magazines into things, in fact, most of the SEALs I know have thier weapon on semi and either fire a single shot to the fore head/eye area, or they do a double tap to the chest. I will admit that some of the younger, less experienced, over-confident SEALs tend to set their weapon (depending on what it is) on full auto or 3 round burst round burst. If you're going to try to tell lies, at least try to tell them where people don't know what the hell you're talking about. I will remember that if I ever do go somewhere and tell lies, but in the mean time, I think you should take your own advice.
