I've heard much better covers of that song, but a lot of that could be attributed to the horrible recording quality in 1969.

First performance by Mick Taylor with the band.

My bad, thought it wat the Hyde Park show from '69.

Their peak were the years with Mick Taylor.

Even Keith has (grudgingly) admitted as much.

The run from Beggars Banquet to Exile on Main Street was as good as any band ever put together.

Jimmy Miller years, IIRC.

Good, but not as good as The Who.

That song reminds me of Dee Dee in 7th grade...
We got along, I went to her house, she had 'woman' goin' on all over the place!
Alas, I was too shy a lad at the time!

Brother, if we could only go back.
Thanks for the memories, man.

Their a great band, one of my favorites. Much better than the synthesized crap they put out today. At least their real musicians. Mick was twenty six at the time of that video, they must of been tapping some serious poon tang in those days.

That intro, with the open G tuning has some of the nastiest, gritty honkytonk, you will hear. I'm not a huge Stones fan, but that song is awesome.

Or it slayed him!  I'm sure Charlie and Bill had respectable showings with the ladies.
