If I can't get one in FDE, I don't want one.

Either way, I'll wait for a the cheaper MOE model

It takes passion to create something like that.

This thing has some of the best design details I've seen in a long time. The tail light and marker lights are very cool. Just a great all around piece of design and engineering. Not to mention it placed well at Pikes Peak
Link Posted: 9/1/2015 5:19:09 PM EST
Buell XBs have been consistently the best handling bikes I've ridden. If this front end is an improvement over the already excellent XB front end, then this bike is going to handle like it's on rails. Also, the belt drive is much more forgiving of engine power changes in mid-turn than a traditional chain.

You don't drive guns either. That never stopped anyone from saying you drive them.

Meh. I will wait for Jesse James to come out with his version. No testing done, but his will probably get 200 miles per gallon, go mach 2 and still be 200 decibels quieter than any other bike.

Magpul gave him one a few weeks back. Apparently they're neighbors in Texas.

Sandra still won't sleep with you, no matter how much you shit talk her ex.

Personally, I like the guy. He's like a Mike Rowe with tattoos and the occasional f-bomb. I think he stepped on his dick with his silencer claims, but I don't hold that against him.

I think the bikes change slightly with each name also, I can't remeber exactly. Either way, the whole story of the bikes, their design and their building represents absolute devotion to a craft.

I've always been a fan of that bike, but I don't see $38k worth of bike there.

Still ugly.

I'd ride it, just to say I did. Not my style though. I like my handlebars more than 1" above the seat.

It's a separate company, which is part of the bikes cost. Ronin Motorworks exist solely to produce the 40 some odd bikes required for this project. One off parts, one off tooling, 47 bikes, and it closes it's doors.

It's just a contuation of the design exercise that birthed the bike.

If I knew how to ride motorcycles I would want one of these.

NY will be limited to 7 mph and Commiefornia will need a special key to start it. NJ will not be able to obtain one; its too free.

I kind of like the bike.

Part of the cost is the true limited production of the bike. It's a true custom and only 47 will ever be sold. And many of the parts are made by hand or on manual mills. It's a slow, costly process. This isn't a cookie cutter production bike, it's a labor of love by a few hardcore enthusiasts. If you're not into that stuff, you'd be better off with a production bike.

I can appreciate the design details and it is interesting looking, but it is in reality nothing more than an exercise in form over function.

I'd love to see one and look it over, but it's not for me.

There's an economy of scale that this production outfit simply doesn't have. $38k is roughly what the EB Racing bikes were selling for, and EB had a big leg up on Magpul, having worked numerous production issues while still under the financial wings of HD.

When you hand build bikes, they are going to carry a hand built price tag. There's just no other way around it.

Form over function ... said no one about a Buell based design ... ever.

That whole front end stems from an effort to improve the responsiveness over the conventional inverted forks ... and every other aspect of the bike simply carries over from the XB design.
