I saw them live when I was 12.

They headlined Music Midtown in 1994.  Check out the headliners for the past 10 years... times have changed.

It's the late 70's and who are you going to sign, Van Halen or the Knack?
Both bands rock, kick ass and pack the Sunset Strip.
You know they are going to make it big.

I met Doug at Musician's Exchange back in the early 90's, he was a cool dude, very enthusiastic.  Too bad his brother is such an asshole.

Cool Story Time:

I know Burton Averre's (the guitarist) nephew.  Musicianship doesn't run in the family, it seems.  He has one of his guitars - an LP hacked up to use a Floyd Rose.  He took it into a Guitar Center for a setup (he didn't know any better) and they were giving him shit.   Then they found out that it was from an actual professional musician, and felt sort of silly.

Lol, is that the one from The Blues Brothers?

I meant the one in Florida where Jaco Pastorious was beaten to death.  Bought my Ovation Bass there in 1994.

FPNI.  Best song by far.

Another cassette I wore out in the day.
