I bought a *ton* of Microsoft on Friday, they were in the low $40.0's a share, I have never seen it this low for 12 or 13 years.

Now, everyone, do your part for the economy and go out and buy a copy of windows XP.

I was about to blow some steam!  I started investing about 5 years ago and I've got my allocations in 50% stock, 40% Growth, and 10% Bond and am down 5K this quarter!  Then I noticed that the current stats were dated 9/21.

I sure hope they're soaring...  We'll see when my account is updated.

HEHEHE, yeah baby!!! I bought a few stocks last week. First time I have done so in 2yrs. Got Excite/@home @ .35 cents. And a few other trading at pennies on the dollar from their book value. Since I am unemployed I will count on this as my Christmas bonus.

lordtrader, hope you didn't buy too much Excite stock.  $50 million in debt doesn't look too good...  http://www.pbs.org/cringely/pulpit/pulpit20010830.html

Doesn't matter book value of the company is still around $10 with all of debt included. There is value in there. I mainly concetrated my buying in the commmunications and biotech area. The cheap ones. There a lot to be had come last Friday. I have not looked at qoutes on em today though, too afraid to look. I borrowed from my life insurance policy to be able to this.

LT, I would stay away from Excite, they have SERIOUS problems.  I would guess the next few days we will have a small rally.  After that a dead cat bounce!

Worse case scenario on Excite @Home would be bancruptcy, highly unlikely with AOL trying to gobble up market share. All I need is to the stock to get up to .50 again.
