Van Morrison wrote it and recorded it with Them, but it's been covered by The Shadows of Night (they actually had a bigger hit than anybody else), Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors. The Doors' version wasn't released until 1983.

Obviously before he died, but it was recorded with Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding probably around 1968. I've only seen it on greatest hits and compilation albums released after his death.

I don't know when he recorded it, but I don't think it was released until 1979.

It was a bonus 7" with the "Essential Vol 2 " album.

A 12" limited collectors edition was also released that year, b/w "All Along the Watchtower"

Personally, I like Them's version the best. Something about that garage band sound.

No I don't but it's a great cover live. I'm gonna have to dig that live disc back out.
