I only need one for my brothers first build and I refuse to pay highway robbery prices because doche bags are buying 50 at a time to screw over their fellow firearm ethusiast brothers and sisters.
So I'd like to take this opportunity to vent my frustration and to tell all the hoarders and guys trying to make a dime (and yes I know its there right to do so) thaks alot and kiss my ass! There... My first ammendment right excersised! |

If you refuse to pay the prices then you refuse to have a BCG.
This shit has been going on since 2008, we just had a good period about 7 months ago. |

Stag has bolts in stock right now. Buy it piece by piece. Bolt, cam, and firing pin are parts more likely to fail than the carrier. Find the carrier in due time.

|
You need one of those new hammers that has a spur on it that hit's the detonator.
|
|
I have a BCM BCG still in the plastic and no rifle that needs it right now Am I a horder or "just a guy that keeps extra parts" ?
|
|
Just got one delivered today from Fail Zero. Took a month to get it but it feels good. I don't even have another rifle to put it in.

I was planning ahead...poor kid started building his first AR 2 weeks before Sandy Hook. I love the kid but i can't screw myself on parts now can I? Even with that I can't shit a carrier. |

I read what has happened in years past and planned ahead, maybe you should have done the same. My brother is like yours, with the only difference being he knows he is late to the party and understands he will pay more. No go cry in your mommy's skirt. |

I need two. One as a spare one for a build for my dad.
My fault for not buying earlier last year. |
|
I need two but I already have two.
Waiting for BCM's BCG to come back in stock. |

I bet if you searched hard enough you can find one. It would probably be a piece here and there. I ordered one last Monday the parts came from 3 different dealers, they all shipped last Friday. It cost about $20.00 more because of shipping.
The hardest thing to find is the carrier but once you have that it's all down hill from there. |

Everyone got the memo that we were all one mass shooting away from an insane run, and crazy legislation. We went from the best market, where you could buy complete $600 rifles, to the worst market overnight. This is like looking for a generator after the storm.... |

Yeah I had a spare. Took it to the gun show in case some poor soul didn't prepare his GOODS. Guy that bought it thanked me and said I was a life saver. I shook his hand and took his money. He paid 250usd for a no-name bolt and carrier. AND was glad he did

I know the public schools aren't capable of teaching kids everything but here's something worth learning: capitalism is an economic system that is based on private ownership of capital goods and the means of production, and the creation of goods and services for profit. Elements central to capitalism include capital accumulation, competitive markets, and a price system.
IIRC there was a bolt carrier shortage years ago ... 2002-2004 or so. Didn't buy 50 but I always have a complete spare parts kit at all times. Might have a couple spare bolts and bolt carriers at all times too. Just SOP and the way I was brought up. If the shoe fits ... buy one in every color. That's not always possible at lower pay scales but I did always look for what would hurt the most and have that stored at the house. As an example I might have 200 rolls of toilet paper in the house at any one time. What are the odds that toilet paper production or delivery are going to fail? Right after that +8.0 earthquake I'll promise you Mr. Charmin ain't making deliveries. What's that overhead cost ... about $40. That I can spare. The same lesson follows for food, water, guns, gun parts, ammo, magazines, gasoline ... "be prepared" and all that. |

I started my blackout build right before all this and can't find a BCG. Tempted to just pull a carrier from a different rifle and put a new bolt into it. No problems with that, I assume?

Sounds like a plee for a BCG.
My advice - Don't buy one. Do you really need one? Meaning without it you'll die? Refuse to put up with scalpers and wait 2 years if you have to. 2 or 3 years ago LMTs were 115 everywhere, BCM were 140 something and always in stock. Times will change again, effectively no one is wearing these out so eventually a surplus level will be reached. |

Did you not notice who was in office the last 4 years?
Did you think things would get better after he was re-elected? The writing was on the wall. |

I should post my picture of me lying on top of a pile of complete bolts in the hallway.
