Ok, now that the first one is successfully making the rounds...

The ARFCOM DVD Rental Library...Photo Review On Page 4...

Figured I'd do it again only this time with selections from "Tales of the Gun."

My plan is to do 4 titles at a time in successive rounds.

For the first set I think these are the obvious choices:

Tales of the Gun: The M-16 DVD
The AK-47 DVD (Tales of the Gun)
Sharpshooters and Long Range Weapons DVD (Tales of the Gun)
Million Dollar Guns DVD (Tales of the Gun)

The 4 DVDs will run about $100 + s/h so if we get 10 people to kick in $11.00 that should cover it. Obviously I'm in so we only need 9 more people.

Tag this thread IF you are interested in participating. After the DVDs go to the initial investors they will go into general circulation like the "Story of the Gun" DVD set that is currently making the round.

And when we do the second set it will be:

U.S. Guns of World War II DVD (Tales of the Gun)
German Small Arms of WWII DVD (Tales of the Gun)
Japanese Guns of WWII DVD (Tales of the Gun)
The Luger DVD (Tales of the Gun)

I'm definately in again! I really enjoyed the first series. Can you find one on the M-16/AR-15? Just a suggestion.

SteyrAUG - why have just 10 people invest 11.00? Why not have 20 people each put in 5.50??? If the other members want to watch 'em, 5.00 should not be alot to ask.
In the other thread, a small number of people put in cash but a large number get to watch the discs. So if everyone who gets to watch them puts in a couple of bucks the library would grow pretty quickly. Just my .02

Cause it will take a LOT longer and the more people involved the more that can go wrong.

We did it with 7 people last time. Those who contribute simply have to consider themselves benefactors.

For everyone getting in line, make sure your DVD player is compatible with DVD+Rs (DVD plus R). They all aren't, especially older players.

As a member of NetFlix, I'm dissappointed to see they don't carry these titles. Perhaps that can be rectified. NetFlix members, please follow this link and Copy/Paste the movie list that was posted at the beginning of this thread.

Mr. Postman left me a box containing the following titles:

Package is enroute to cfbigdaddy as of this afternoon ( 6/24 ).

Jetlag or Other skilled person - Could someone make some high quality scans of the covers?

My only scanner is a SCSI unit that goes with a Box ( Computer ) that I was in the process of migrating into a new case. I did not want to hold up the line while I got that back togather and O/S loaded.
