Pick your flick. When there's 4 movies mentioned more than once I'll throw up a poll for the final decision.
Here are some of the tops at the box office in 2005.
source Not on the list but I would guess Sin City might be a pic for more than one person. My pick... Serenity. Probably best movie and actor for Nathan Fillion. |

Since we get to pick our own, I will go with Sin City, too! |
I only saw one of those. I guess I need to add the others to Azureus and get back to you.
Oh man what kind of crack do you people smoke? But seriously....I'll nominate "Wallace and Gromit" for best picture, since it was the best one I saw. |
It doesn'thave to be one from the list... just say what your favorite movie was this year.
How could I have forgotten Serenity. Good chance that's my pick. |
DAMMIT i was gonna sayRed Dawn
ETA: sin city was great though |
If we are going back as far as Red Dawn than HEAT has to be the ARF.com Top Pick.

Batman Begins, but I didn't see it in the theatre. Serenity was good and all, but not even close to rating an Oscar.
"Quigley Down Under Puts .45 Holes In Gay Cowboys"?
AKA "Outback Mountain" |
Well that's good, because Oscars are brokeback, and Serenity ain't no queer movie. |
Serenity
No question. Best characters, best story, best original script. |
Good thing this is the Academy then. This is AR15.com. We pick movies based on how good they are as movies, not how politically. artisticly, and/or liberal correct they are. You want Oscars? Watch the Oscars. Sheesh... is this realy that difficult. Pick YOUR favorite movie and type it. Some people read WAY to much into stuff. |

the best short film has got to be the beginning of "lord of war" i am talking about the life of a russian 7.62 round. that was awesome!
By those standards. The Aristocrats. |

That was the only good part of that whole movie. I say Star Wars 3 |
That movie made me see Bob Saget in a whole new way. |

Yep. ETA Serenity was fantastic on all merits also. And Doom wins "Biggest Dissapointment EVER". |
The first movie I thought of when I read the title was SERENITY.
Only movie of '05 that I saw twice, and in the theater no less. |
Wedding Crashers was funny, all of the movies listen was only so so IMO. A few of them are worth seeing once, I dont see many up there worth seeing twice unless theres a large gap of time and you forget some stuff.
Serenity was well worth watching but I wont watch it again any time soon... IDK the movie just didnt do it for me. I would watch sequels to it though. |
Wedding Crashers was my favorite movie of the year. (Boob montages are always good!)
I thought Crash was a good movie and was impressed to see the Acadamy get one right. I also liked the choice of Phillip Seymour Hoffman, one of the great actors of my generation. |

1 Batman
2 Serenity 3 Star Wars 4 Smith
