I don't know what you believe about hell. Personally, I believe what the Bible says, cause I've seen it proven true too many times to doubt it here.

For the rest of you, you can just enjoy the irony of this one.

So they only had 1 intelligent chemistry major that graduated from The University of Washington?
We need to hire him to run NASA or something!

Contrary to how this has been reported, it was not a chemistry mid-term.  It was a WiseAss215 final exam.  Most passed, but only the author received an "A".

No doubt he'll get all bent about some part of it.  [;)]

Good for you Imbrog|io[:D]

How does someone answer if their religion does not have a hell.  They could always apply Boyles law to the earth's core.

Why would *I* be upset? I found the joke amusing, the first time I heard it, which was about five years ago.

I wish I could be like you, rikwriter.

Actually, I'm a little disappointed in you. I sincerely thought you were gonna make it your personal business to rescue me from my illogical, unscientific, pre-historic, childish, antiquated,  self-deluded, mythological belief in hell.

You let me down, man.

G-man, not to disappoint I'll take up the banner for Rik.
When you say you have seen Hell too many times to disbelieve it what exactally do you mean?
Are you referring to California?

Actually, if hell IS on earth, its located in NJ. Californias gun laws, WITHOUT the nice beaches (unless you can dodge the syringes)  [}:D]

What I am saying is that I've seen the Bible proven true in too many things OTHER THAN the hell issue to NOT believe the Bble when it comes to the hell issue.

gunslinger - put your nomex on baby.

Your post makes me wonder if it is worth debating with people who have such a marginal grasp of the English language. In my post, I NEVER said I've "seen hell," as you claim I said in your post.

My actual words were -

"Personally, I believe what the Bible says, cause I've seen it proven true too many times to doubt it here."

Look at the word "it"  in my actual words. Its antecedent is the word "Bible" -  CLEARLY making the point that I've SEE "the Bible" proven true too many times to doubt "it" (the Bible) when it comes to the hell issue.

This is 8th grade English.

Which all makes me wonder if discussing this is worth it.

If you made an honest mistake in reading, PLEASE be more careful. It makes discussion SOOOOO much more difficult when CLEAR statements are misinterpreted. Yeah, like I've "SEEN" hell.......

Now, ***I**** have put MY nomex on..... Flame away.

My boss, a physicist by training, had this to say:

"I can safely say that even with the decrepitating heaped upon me by the passage of time, and the entropy increase to the universe caused by my person, I can still detect that the young man's Physics suffers from some severe flaws (regardless of his theological and other assertions), and therefore he hardly deserved an "A". I don't have the time just now to elaborate, but, although the guy might make it as a wise ass somewhere, he wouldn't even be able to wash the test tubes in a first year Berkeley Physics lab (Oh sorry ! I just realized he was a Chemistry student. No wonder!)."
