You don't have the new box in the top left blocking half your view of the map?

you also you lose the little blue arrow navigation feature. Here is a website that describes how to go back to the original google map and keep it that way.

Click the question mark on the bottom right. You're welcome.
Link Posted: 12/13/2013 7:05:55 AM EST
I've been using it for months. It took a little bit of getting used to but it isn't that bad. The box in the top left corner is annoying though and the images across the bottom can be annoying if you aren't interested in see what is a around the location you entered. The images have actually helped me find things when the location on the map doesn't match up exactly with an address.

That's not the new version. they are probably staggering the release so everyone doesn't get upset at once.

The geeks aren't the problem it's the managers that say things need to be changed that work just fine. I am lazy and don't change anything unless I am told to if it is working. Why on earth would I want to create more work for myself?!?!

Thanks. That was a dead-end but after googling how to switch back, it seems it's a simple as clicking the Help (? bottom right) and choosing "switch back to old google maps.

If you don't innovate, reorganize, or update, you can't get your department listed as a bullet point on a PowerPoint slide higher up the food chain. Getting mentioned in the presentation is affirmation that you have something noteworthy to add to your CV as you claw your way through middle management.
