Not so many months ago many here felt like they had little power to effect the world around them.  Then along you came spewing your nonsense and we found out just how powerful we can be when we work together.

Today we are hitting polls, writing letters, and generally making our voices heard.  Some would not be doing so without having seen the effect we had ending your career.

Thank you.

I'd like to know where his statement is defending our 2nd Amendment?

I thought he was going to fight, fight, fight for it.

Nice to see he's johnny on the spot with a statement condemning gun free zones.

But you know, I think the average person is starting to see how truly sick these journalists are. It wasn't 30 minutes into the shooting and they were talking gun control. They won't let the students grieve and they are asking their opinions on gun control and putting out polls. Journalists are looking pretty stupid and like they have a one track mind and I think people are really getting a good view of it.

I'd never really thought about it quite that way, but there's a lot of truth in that. It's also an interesting psychological question regarding why that ass clown got us - me included - so worked up when similar comments from other people were met with, "Eh, just another anti."

Of course there was the whole "terrorist rifle" thing that obviously hit a sour note here at ARfcom. Also, in my case I think it pissed me off more because it seemed particularly traitorous because I would have expected him to be on our side.

Whatever the case may be, you're right about his comments having backfired on him. The friggin' backstabbing turncoat.

I think it's the nature of the betrayal.. you think all gunowners are on the same side, and then dipshit comes along and shatters the illusion.

The Zumbo "incident" motivated me to get active, both on this site and politically. We do have power and we are organized and motivated. And most of all, we are RIGHT!

so hit those polls and send those emails. Now is the time.

zumbo's words are about to be blasted all over the debate in the coming months. We THOUGHT he did damage before. Combined with this tradgedy at VT it's going to get ugly.

I posted the deal about Geraldo on Ted's place... 10 replies since last night.

Now I know they arent as big but only 10 replies?

Tell me who is about activism and who isn't.

But I agree with the OP here, Zumbo was a great example of getting things done.

Now more than ever we need to be on this stuff. It's gonna be a long road from now until 2008.(On several fronts)

I thank God everyday that Al Gore invented this internet, it sure helps in getting the word out.

Do you know who DONNIE LONG is?

Youtube Video

And here is a ESPN write up which describes Donnie Long... Isn't it funny how it is a perfect descriptor of Zumbo and us evil black rifle enthuisiasts?

"They go by many labels. The polite terms are trial horses, stepping-stones, gatekeepers, B sides. Others would dare to call them palookas, bums, stiffs, pugs, cadavers, cannon fodder – though maybe not to their faces.

These are the sort of men, practically anonymous to all but the staunchest fight fans, who compose the early portion of every champion's career. They build up confidence. They build up a record. And then when their usefulness has been exhausted, they usually fade away. "

Zumbo's demise showed many politicians that gun owners are very willing to blog the asses of anyone who decides to use their position to reduce our rights any further.

The fact that 32 UNARMED students were slaughtered by a nut job showed many people that the police cannot defend you and that fighting back should not be prohibbitted by the government.
