My poor dealer shudders every time I mention his name because he knows he is about to take it up the pooper from me.  Whenever possible my dealer tries to match my best deal from on-line if he can do so without losing money.  And to be honest, we do need to help Eric out but we need to make sure our local shops remain viable too.

Anyway, I tell my guy what Eric is offering new Romanian AK mags for - 10 for $79.99 SHIPPED!  My dealer bites his tongue and says 10 for $75 plus tax or $81.  Well it cost me an extra $1.01 but I still got my savings and my dealer is happy that he kept my business.

My dealer however can not touch Eric on most ammo prices so my next ammo order is going Eric's way as a sign of my appreciation.  thanks Eric!

My dealer always told me that a customer has to shop for the best price just as he has to do with his wholesalers and distributors.  He knows that I will occassionaly buy elsewhere if it is something he can not match, and he doesn't begrudge me that because he knows for every dollar I spend elsewhere I spend $8-10 in his shop.

I know he has given me some guns at what he took them in for.  He could have made his money selling it at a profit to someone else, but a good dealer knows where his bread is buttered.

Anyway Eric, thanks again, people like you help keep things in perspective and with the Internet you are helping to keep dealers honest by giving people alternatives.  Fortunately I don't need them because of my relationship with my dealer, but some aren't so lucky.  Every good deed is returned, as evidenced by how well you are thought of on this board and elsewhere.
