It would be nice to have some board code tags that would allow you to set the width of  text that will be displayed on the screen.

So, for example, When I do something like post a long article like this
www.weaponforums.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=432871&page=1

I can do something like

[width]
and get the text
to appear in
narrow columns like
this.
[/width]

Yeah, basically the goal is to get things to look like that.

IT'd be something that lets you set the word wrap width that the board will use when parsing the text in your post.

Kind of like

[width=1]
would
produce
something
like
this
[/width]

while

[width=2]
would be more
like the text here
... just a little
bit wider
[/width]

etc.

For people who like to read short lines of text versus straining their eyes having to go from edge to edge of the screen?

I can see your point. It's one reason they do columns in magazines... people get intimidated by those LOOOOOOONG lines.
