Alright everyone, I'm heading to Texas for a business trip coming up.  I have my Pennsylvania Concealed Carry License.  Tell me everything I need to know about open and concealed carry on Texas.  It is my understanding Texas accepts pa's CC license.  Anywhere I can't open or conceal carry while in Texas for business?

Any and all info is appreciated.

If they have 30.07 or 30.06 signs you cannot carry. Also if they state 51% outside the business you cannot carry are 51% of their sales come from alcohol. That is the main three signs to be aware of.

Anywhere you see 30.06 signs, 30.07 signs, and 51% signs are no-go.  Also schools (K-12) school functions, six flags, major sporting events, courthouses, and Huntsville State Prison on execution days.

ETA:   FUCK Open Carry Texas and their bullshit antics.  You RARELY saw 30.06 signs until recently.  Now a ton of business post 30.07 and 30.06 signs BECAUSE of all of the attention OCT brought on the law.

Also, you can ignore signs like this:

Signs must match the verbiage and display laws exactly.

So no bars even if not drinking, most hotels good to go?

If the business derives 51% of revenue from alcohol (on premises consumption) sales, no go.  If they do, they will have the 51% sign.

Restaurant/bar like Chili's or something is fine.  Standalone? No.

Most hotels should be fine.

Check out Texas DPS website like he linked above.

And I feel obligated to point out that even if the signage of a business isn't "legal" you still have to do what the person in charge of the place says if they tell you they don't want you carrying.
