Tetra cleaning rods, WTF? Anyone have one? What fits??

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tetra cleaning rods, WTF? Anyone have one? What fits??

So I get out my new tetra "8 inch universal pistol rid" and get ready to clean a handgun when I discover that NOT A SINGLE ONE of my brushes or patch holders screw in to the end of the pistol rod. The female end of the tetra cleaning rod is too small.

Do you have to buy tetra(tm) brand accessories?? This is really aggrivating.

bump, because it is sinking too fast.

Also, I would like to note that the female end of the tetra rod is much smaller than the male ends of my brushes / jags / patch holders, which all fit the cleaning rod that came with my glock.

I've got a tetra and it works fine. but keep in mind that there are different threads used on different rods. For example, military and cilvilan rods and accessories are not interchangable.

well apparently this must be the red-headed stepchild rod beceause no accessory in the store (they were all the same size as the ones i bought and they all fit my glock cleaning rod [now gone, sold the glock]) fits this stupid rod.

I guess I'll have to return it.
