This is about a year old - we got memo's from DOD about a year ago becuase we have vehicles that go on several military installations throughout NY/NJ/CT/PA. The memo was broad based to all DOD sticker holders and reminded people to remove stickers from used cars they sold or vehicles that no longer required acess and to notify the MPs or issuing authority if any went missing or had been disposed of improperly. It also asked the recipients to be aware and report anyone who seemed to want to buy a used car/truck more for the sticker than the actual vehicle itself or asked that the sticker remain after the sale or offered money for it. Most places we go no longer honor the stickers on site anyway you have to stop at the gate and offer a picture ID that has been issued since 9/11 At West Pt civillian workers enter through assigned gates and no longer bring vehicles on post at will some must take shuttle buses to outside parking areas.
