I have what is called a "Clay shovelers fracture". It is basically a broken bone in my neck. One of the little "nubs" that stick off the spine is broken and has never healed. Now, it rubs bone to bone and has caused arthritis in my neck. My doctor really doesn't know much about it and hasn't been able to help me. I went to an orthopedic specialists and he didn't know much either. So, I am now in constant pain. My doctor doesn't what to do and he won't give me shit for it. At times it hurts so bad that I've resorted to buying pain meds from other people. I hate doing it, but I'm not left with much option.
So, does anyone here know anything about it? What can be done to fix it? Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Kris

Does it crunch and grind everytime you move your head?

Does it pop and snap if you turn head to the side?

When I tilt my head all the way back, it will, but not much. I have also noticed since I injured it, I notice what sounds like air bubbling into my head through my neck. (No airhead jokes please) I have no clue what it is.

I agree. It may be happening real soon in my future.
