The robbery occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m... Police said the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded pizza and money.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Three men were involved in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Thursday night in Cedar Rapids, police said.

No one was injured in the hold-up, which was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m. The 42-year-old employee was delivering a pizza to 1056 10th Ave. SE when he was approached by three men who asked for change, according to a police report.

Police said one man displayed a handgun and took the driver’s cell phone and GPS unit, along with $12 cash.

The suspects are described as three black men in their 20s wearing dark clothing. An investigation was continuing.

An ex-girlfriend in Cedar Rapids always rolled her eyes when we walked to a burger place down the street from her house at night and I insisted on having my gun under my shirt.

And both having an apartment and a job is dependent on you sucking air and pumping blood. See how this is gonna go round and round? Brother, you could easily conceal a Ruger LCP in a "wallet" holster. Nobody would EVER know it was there unless/until you had to draw and fire it to save your life. You're in a statistically dangerous job; you gotta think accordingly.

Prior to the robbery, a neighbor saw the suspect "hanging around" in front of another home and decided to take pictures in case he was planning a burglary or other crime, according to Silent Witness coordinator Sgt. Darren Burch. The neighbor continued to take pictures as the armed robbery occurred.

No doubt, but one is infinitesimally unlikely, and the other is an absolute certainty. ETA: i.e., not having the job means I can't pay my bills 100% certainty, but getting robbed is relatively unlikely.
