WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Teachers from elementary school through college are telling students how to distinguish between factual and fictional news — and why they should care that there’s a difference.

As Facebook works with The Associated Press, FactCheck.org and other organizations to curb the spread of fake and misleading news on its influential network, teachers say classroom instruction can play a role in deflating the kind of “Pope endorses Trump” headlines that muddied the waters during the 2016 presidential campaign.

They should follow it up with talking about the infiltration of the education system by Communists, along with what the goals and objectives of that infiltration are and how they relate to the future of America.

And in doing so I'm sure they're being fair and impartial.

I learned the same thing 25 years ago in 3rd grade.  Primary source...secondary....etc...

Unfortunately it looks like they are getting the zuckerberg version.

They're just smearing news sources not anointed by the left.

Actually teaching critical thinking skills would kill off their indoctrinations, which is definitely NOT what Big Teach wants.

We've always tried to talk to kids about evaluating sources.  This is nothing new.

Except that government sources are (nearly) always considered reputable. What else would you expect government employees to teach?

Fake news = their entire curriculum.

GOOGLE was caught with editing out a USSC opinion that they did not agree with.  To make matters worse, it was then used as a source, because they had changed the meaning.  Always go to the source...as we move away from written material to electronic sources....this will make it harder and harder to keep the history correct.

Lamp post of history won't guide you so well when dishonest men control it......will it?

If you pay money to send your kids to a liberal indoctrination educational facility you just might be a cuck.

When are they going to crack down on Dr Oz and Katie Couric. Every once in a while I'll eat a late lunch at a restaurant and those shows will be on. Now you know why people's heads are full of crap.
