http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D95V4F8G0&show_article=1 Senate confirms Geithner as treasury secretary Jan 26 06:26 PM US/Eastern By LAURIE KELLMAN Associated Press Writer Write a Comment WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate has confirmed New York Fed chief Timothy Geithner to be President Barack Obama's secretary of the treasury. The 60-34 vote puts Geithner at the helm of Obama's plan to rescue the economy from the worst financial crisis in three generations. It also dislodges one of Obama's most troubled nominations. Some senators were concerned that Geithner, who would oversee the Internal Revenue Service, did not pay all of taxes until he had been tapped to the president's Cabinet. Geithner called it an unintentional oversight and settled his $34,000 overdue tax bill. Obama and others supporting Geithner's nomination said the nation couldn't afford to wait for Obama to search for another nominee to run the Treasury Department. /end Panic panic, we can't afford to wait! CRISIS! Fuuck..... Kevin "" |

So can I not pay my taxes and be like "lol oops" when I get audited?
|
|
Wow... this administration is sinking this country even faster than I'd imagined...
|
|
We should be more worried about Eric Holder getting confirmed. At least Geithner doesn't have tyrannical powers to make our lives a living hell, even if he can't outright ban guns.

I have already sent my Alabama turncoat a message telling him how displeased I was.

Here is my response to Senator Cornyn:
Honorable Senator Cornyn, I am disappointed in your yes vote confirming the tax cheat Geithner as Treasury Secretary. This concerns me a great deal because you will be voting on BHO's Supreme Court Justice nominations in the near future. Apparently the slapping the GOP got in the 08' elections was not a sufficient wake up call. I am losing hope in the GOP due to its leaning to the center. I would hate to stay home Nov. 10'. Please get back to true Conservative ideology or myself and MANY others will vote 3rd party or stay home next election. |

What the fuck is wrong with John Cornyn???? First he votes for the $700billion European-Luxury-Jet-for-CEOs Fund and now he votes to confirm a goddamn tax cheat to head the agency that will send SMG armed govt ninjas to imprison/kill you if you're late on your own taxes. If he sells out on any AWB count on me ripping him a new one. He is becoming a Mel Martinez. GOP is dying. We need to let them die so real Conservatives can be birthed. |

Both of our Senators in Oklahoma voted Nay.
It's time all of us start working at the local levels. All Conservatives have a responsibility to get out and start working to get the Rino's in there States replaced. Lindsay Graham is a piece of crap and should change his affiliation to Democrat. Now, also pressure the RNC to not donate or contribute any money to these asshats. I am on the RNC's ass and I don't one red cent going to any of these asshats when they come up for re-election. Traitors! |

I think this is optimistic... to me, it really seems like the GOP is leaning waaaaay left. |

If you told me that Bigfoot had responded to you with a personal message I would find that more likely than Cornyn bothering to respond with anything other than a form letter. Cornyn has been a rubber stamp for Bush the vast majority of the time, differing with Bush only in that Cornyn wanted a broader illegal alien amnesty, earlier. I will find out who is running against him in the primary and support them, just like I am going to do with KBH. |

I emaild Cornyn my self with a question as to why
of course I also emailed him on Rangles tax evasion Johnsons cool $100grand Chris Dodds sweatheart deal with country wide barney franks involvment with freddie/fannie and why these people are stil walking around free... at least 3 times on each subject, I have yet to get a direct responce to the question.. |

At least my Senators voted against.
Even the normally turncoatish McCain. |

Remember this in the primaries. Remember this when KBH is running. For that matter, if John Sharpe is running against KBH, consider crossing over. He is several times more conservative than she is. Unfortunately for us, Perry may appoint him to the Senate. |

Senator Corker,
I am very disappointed and surprised, to see a 'YEA' vote next to 'Corker (R-TN)' regarding the Confirmation of Timothy F. Geithner, of New York, to be Secretary of the Treasury. I almost fell out of my chair, to tell you the truth. You have endorsed a man that is incapable of managing his own personal finances... with the expectation that he can manage the largest economy on earth. Additionally, I find his personal ethics highly questionable. It is my feeling, that you have been mislead by your colleagues, whom are succumbing to "panic" in DC. I simply can't believe, that you - Senator Corker, would endorse an inept criminal for SecTreas in a time of economical importance such as this. My prediction: this man will be investigated and indicted before he leaves office for fraud and misuse of his new found position. Additionally, While I am writing your office... I wish to urge your 'nay' vote regarding the confirmation of Eric Holder. He is not a friend of the constitution, and will seek to further erode our rights as American citizens. How do you intend to vote, regarding Mr. Holder? Respectfully, |
|
And does anyone besides me think that the whole deal was really weird? He was told several times that because of the tax status of the entity, he had to cover his own taxes. This isn't that strange. Semi-self-employed salespeople do it all the time, and it is a pain in the neck, but they manage. He just didn't do it. Aren't financial issues not good because of blackmail risks? And furthermore I know a person who worked with Geithner and he said nothing but good things about him, so this seems to conflict with that (and I trust the judgement of the person who praised him). There's something very off here.

At this point I am guessing Senators trade samples their angriest constituent letters over drinks (or Pages). They may even have an annual contest to see who can treat their constituents with the most contempt. |

Will the IRS be as forgiving for any errors I may make? No...did't think so.....I'm just a dumb-ass.
