Built a HK91 using FMP reciever. Also used a FAC barrel. The barrel was junk, shells would not extract, The flutes were cut wrong. This problem is very common I hear. Well back to topic, I believe we could come up with some very interesting things to do with it. Replaced it with very good HK barrel.

Where'd you get the good HK barrel?  German or Port?

Just curious, what's the matter with the flutes?  Is there any way to get a machinist to rework them so the delayed blowback system works?  Was thinking about getting a kit, and thought I'd ask before I ran into the same problem. [:)]

Got barrel at gun show. It is FMP. I am not sure if they can be reworked or not. I have been told that they are cut to deep. Shell expands to much into the flutes and gets stuck. Nothing like a single shot assult rifle! I would stay away from a FAC barrel. Check out HK91.com , There is plenty of posts about the FAC barrels. I even heard the topic on this board.
