I have been wanting a semi-auto 1919A4 for about two years now, and finally I have it.
Mine is mounted on the MG3 Lafette tripod, and it is a blast to shoot. My spade grips were made by TNW, and with a little practice you can really get your thumbs moving fast and spit some rounds out.  The good folks at Down Range finished completing the gun and parkerized it for me, and it functions flawlessly and looks great. I was the envy of the range this past weekend.

Here are a few pics of the gun and my homebuilt pine transit case. I bought the pine crate at Army surplus for $5 bucks, painted it, and my buddy Pappy1 from this board helped me finish it.
Here she is:

I have right at $2000 invested total.  I bought everything a little at a time as my budget (and patient wife) would allow it.  It was expensive, but VERY worth it to me.

If some of you are interested there is a really good board devoted to 1919's that
I spend alot of time at also. The folks over there are cool, and always glad to answer questions.
It is www.1919A4.com

Thanks for the compliments guys.

What! No bayonet lug, flash suppressor, conspicuously protruding pistol grip and detachable magazine? I guess your new sweetheart wont be the choice of gang bangers and terrorists. Whew! I really feel safe now.... LOL......

Hey, congrats on a fine "shootin' iron." Enjoy and be safe.

Thanks alot guys. I only took 100 rounds to the range, so I did not even try to
dial in the optical sight. I am going to the MG shoot this weekend in Camden, TN at TFTC range, and will get it sighted in there.

The box has 1" thick foam padding at all of the contact points with the rifle.
Believe me, I don't want the finish to get rubbed off either.

I can't wait for the night shoot this coming Saturday night. The tracers are linked up and ready.
I'll let you know how she did on Sunday when I get home.

Nice piece.

You may want to consider one of the 'Trigger Cranks' like this one from Ohio Blacksheep.  Churns'm out at approx 400rpm.
