Anything interesting or unusual, that labels me a gun nut, and yet happens to open a bottle of cold beer in the most efficient manner possible that I should know about out there?

There was a guy who used to be a member here who made very tacti-cool "bottle openers."

Rifle magazines make good bottle openers, for a while anyway.

I've got one i made out of a .50 BMG casing. Just cut a 1/4-1/2 slot in the bottom. Works great.

I think it is a fact that this is the most expensive metal per weigh ever.

I need to make it a little bit bigger. It works, but sometimes requires a second attempt. The cut is only about 1/3 around. 1/2 would be better.

What is it? Some type of full auto sear that turns a gun into a ebil machinegun?

I think an enterprising individual could sell a hell of a lot of those "50 Cal Bottle Openers"

Your teeth.  Or, if you lost an eye in a knife fight, your eye socket.

An inert 20mm round would also make a cool opener.

If you can find one, there is a Sudanese bayonet made for the AR-10 that has a corkscrew.

I'm pretty sure it has a bottle opener too.

The UZI has a milled slot in the end of the buttstock for opening bottles.  They were using their UZI magazine feed lips as bottle openers and ruining them.  So they added one to the weapon to prevent them from using their mags.

Edited to add pic.
