coolest thing i've ever seen... what kind of transmission does that thing use?

That's pretty sweet, although I'd rather be able to sit down.

My 1973 175 honda would kick that thing's ass. A modern dirt bike would just smoke it.

Can a modern dirt bike drive by remote control?

It needs a little wicker basket and tassels

Kind of a cool concept.

I'm guessing if one of your feet slips off that platform you're going to have a very bad day.

That is cool. I see the military making them rich.

How loud is it?

Louder than the stupid 4 legged robot?

It's damn cool looking other than the fact that the soldier is standing straight up, making a hell of a lot of noise, and can't defend himself when on it.

Even when riding an ATV with a seat, you would rarely be sitting down unless you were on smooth terrain.

Really?
I will be surprised if they win any contract and would consider them lucky if they get R&D money.

I agree its pretty cool but thats about it.

Is there another configuration? I do not see our troops scooting around on these things...

Still way more stable with the lower center of gravity. It's the difference between a jet-ski and a waverunner.

You saw the remote controlled one towing a litter, right?

A lot of potential for search and rescue. Think remote control across a frozen lake to help someone stranded. It can take the rescue people out of the equation in some instances.

Really? The trip to my deer stands are rougher than that and I sit all the way on a old '90 Honda 300 4-Trax ATV. Note there was no sound of it's engine in the video. I'll bet it's real loud.  I've already seen remote controlled full sized 4-wheelers RC hobbyists make so that part is not much of a much either. Looks like it's just some company out to fleece the taxpayer to me. No thanks.

I see the remote control part, and it towing the little trailer that they put a dumby in.
I am just not sure I see that it has any potential to do much more than can already be done with any current or previous methods
and then there is the price factor, How much will it cost?

It looks like some similar robotic / remote devices but it goes 30 mph and you can stand on it...

What need is this thing supposed to fill? and is uncle Sam looking to fill that spot bad enough to buy?

Replace two men and a stretcher with this remote device and a trailer and at least one man to drive it and put the wounded onto the trailer? It does not really add up
how does this thing get to where it needs to be? ride it there or it requires another vehicle to bring it? Fuel? Range?

Anybody see a real need for these things? What is it supposed to do?

I was going to post how we laughed at the Chinese over stuff like this. But  I can see some people are already getting wood over the idea.
