TSA Now Storming Public Places 8,000 Times a Year
Americans must decide if, in the name of homeland security, they are willing to allow TSA operatives to storm public places in their communities with no warning, pat them down, and search their bags. And they better decide quickly.
Bus travelers were shocked when jackbooted TSA officers in black SWAT-style uniforms descended unannounced upon the Tampa Greyhound bus station in April with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and federal bureaucrats in tow. A news report by ABC Action News in Tampa showed passengers being given the signature pat downs Americans are used to watching the Transportation Security Administration screeners perform at our airports. Canine teams sniffed their bags and the buses they rode. Immigration officials hunted for large sums of cash as part of an anti-smuggling initiative. The TSA clearly intends for these out-of-nowhere swarms by its officers at community transit centers, bus stops and public events to become a routine and accepted part of American life. |

Yet they cant round up illegals because that would just be wrong
IIRC, some "agancy" did this at a downtown bus stop in INDY about a year or so ago.
From what I can recall, the "official" reason told to local press was that it was some sort of "test" or "drill". Regardless, it wasn't well recieved by the public here in INDY. |
I would pay money to see TSA at the Jacksonville Greyhound Bus Station. It would be beyond entertaining.

Quoted: Ummm satire? I smell bullshit. there ben at least 3 articles posted here IIRC about TSA on bus and trains One was in Indiana I think and a huge mess occurred when they encountered CCWs on the bus |
Would not happen to me. I would flat out refuse. they have no right to grope me.
I'd rather stand up for my rights and walk. |

I think the public would make a HUGE stink about it. It's already put alot of pressure on government just for the airports, let alone trying to put them everywhere. |

They'll all get re-elected anyway, and millions of useful idiots heartily approve of pretty much anything done in the name of the "war on terror" |

I think they are finding the water they are testing is too cold... |

TSA hasn't been just airports for EIGHT years (that I know of). Spend more time reading.

The more I think about it (and I'm not a big Ron Paul supporter) but RP is probably the only potus candidate that I'm confident would disband the TSA.

Hey, haven't ya heard, the government is broke and needs a new source of revenue. |

Funny how they'll grope grandma but won't do anything about illegals entering into this country.
TSA agents are not people. They are the enemies of our freedom.
TSA agents dont want to grope you its their job and there just following orders
Every day we become a little more like Nazi Germany. I fear there really is no hope to change this in any peaceful way.
It is the Transportation Security Agency. Did you think it was going to stop at just airports? Just like the TWIC card isn't the Maritime Workers Identification Credential, it is the motherfucking TRANSPORTATION Workers Identification Credential.
Can ye smell it? |

18 Saudis and 1 Arab Emirate hijacked 4 commercial airplanes almost 10 years ago. They flew the airplanes into the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. As horrible as these events are they pale in comparison to what has happened to our individual liberty. In response to the actions carried out by 18 Saudis and 1 Arab Emirate we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. We've spent what will amount to trillions of dollars in the name of preventing another 19 motivated individuals from carrying mass destruction.
What they won't tell you is that in a FREE society nothing can be perfectly safe. A motivated, organized, group of intelligent individuals can kill people. As has ALWAYS been the case. The likelihood of them killing YOU is very low. However, there is a very HIGH likelihood that YOUR individual freedom will be compromised by the .gov, using the excuse of trying to protect you from this low level threat. In the effort to make it safe THEY must take some of your freedom. Let's look at the last 10 years. 2,973 Americans were murdered on 9/11. 160,000+/- American's have been murdered by other Americans since 2001. 4463 Americans have died in Iraq. 1629 Americans have died in Afghanistan. 110,000+/- Iraqi civilian combat deaths. ...couldn't find civilian deaths for Afghanistan. Our spending on Defense has tripled since 9/11....and some scream for more. If we packed it up today, including long-term care for the combat disabled, and the interest due on the money "we the people borrowed to fight these wars" the total cost would be in the neighborhood of $2.7 TRILLION. We now have a BRAND new Department of the Federal Government, complete with offices, supplies, expense accounts, employees with benefits and pension plans....that is here to stay. We also have new laws, and the beloved TSA. Our National debt has grown by almost 300%, Americans seem more afraid than I've ever seen them (...and I grew up during the Cold War, when we thought if a button was pushed we were 30 min away from Madmax Thunderdome) And the fly on this pile of shit...... 19 motivated, organized, intelligent people could kill a lot of people....TODAY.
I wish they would try it here, It would be entertaining to watch the Sheriffs department arrest them all.
Is there a federal statue barring someone with a valid carry permit from carrying on a bus? How about a pocket knife? They don't have the legal authority to dictate what you can have on your person for every mode of transportation.
Air Marshals with local cops on local tranist buses. No shit, fucking air marshals. The Feds are paying local cops to ride with air marshals on city buses. It's happening in the city near me. A midwestern city of about 75K.
Americans need to stop being afraid of reality and freedom.
Both are dangerous....but personally I'll take my chances.

As great a country is, and despite it being the best place on earth, "You are never more free than They allow you to believe you are......."

Whadda ya know, just as much as I've argued why do I get by just fine driving where ever I drive without security checks, why is it they're so necessary on plane flights? Then the TSA said, we'll 1 up em! Lets secure other modes of transportation as well!
Fuck anyone who says its not a big deal or that we need to do this to protect ourselves from the terrorists. Nothing happens overnight, its incremental steps ala frog in a boiling pot of water style. |
I just wonder if anyone has thought that there may be a reason for this happening. Maybe there are things beyond our control? What are you going to do about it? Wait until 40 buses get nailed on one day?
Then what. What can we do? We're at war with religion, and it's not new. |

Then the federal government needs to send people that aren't a bunch of inept bungholes. Someone like, well, I don't know...THE FBI. The TSA is nothing but a bunch of glorified mall cops. |
I'm already to the point that if something happens that hurts them, my 'give-o-fuck' meter is as broken as with the ATF.
So the TSA is taking over for the BATF in the jack booted thug department???

I have no respect in any way shape or form for those who work for the TSA, they are subhuman to me. However, I think there are probably some decent people employed by the ATF. |
It's wrong to brush a group of people with a broad brush.
That being said, going by experience with the TSA 'tards at the airport...well...as I said, glorified mall cops. No. Wait. That's just wrong. Mall cops are a tick higher. |
Copy that.
