Current '06 FX4:

Eventually I will get around to leveling it and getting some 305/55R20 BFG's.

Old truck '91 XLT Lariat 5.8L:

Still have it.  (Can't decide if I want to keep it, rebuild the motor to 396ci with a decent cam and AFR heads, 4 or 6" lift and some 35 or 36's or sell it and buy a DRZ400...)

2000 Z71 Fairly stock other than a small lift and These WELD rims that came on it when I bought it (Repo with 7k miles)

I finally got rid of the WELD rims since fitting tires was always a pain with the 10" wide, huge offset. Replaced them with some simple 8" rims.

It's now wearing BFG AT's though.

It's a simple truck that has done everything I've ever asked it to do. It has about 120k miles on it now and it's no longer my daily driver. I keep it for outdoor trips and all that other stuff trucks are needed for.

Yeah, That was part of why I made the switch. The only problem I've had with this truck was having to have part of the front end rebuilt and it was blamed on the tires/rims. So when I got a new daily driver I sent this truck in for a reliability servicing and got rid of those rims.

I kinda wish my drivetrain was still stock... 14mpg stinks (eta-10 towing or at interstate speeds), 17-18 was much nicer... At least it looks pretty good when sucking the fuel (not as good as that beautiful blue Dodge a few posts up, wow!)

+1 on the dodge.  Beautiful truck dude.

I was getting 14.5 out of my blazer, something like 10 in the city.  Now I'm up to 16MPG with a new rotor and spark plugs.  I did all that when I resealed the intake.

Last month it was wheel bearings because the right front wheel speed sensor quit.  Thank the Lord for Jigg and Synergy Offroad.  Cost me less for both than for just one at napa.  I only drive it every three weeks or so now.  I just pulled it out about 15 minutes ago because I plan to drive it all this weekend for shits and giggles.

There's a fair bit of sarcasm on that truck - but since factory halfshafts on stock wheels twist and shear leaving stop signs on road, about as useless as Rosie's vagina with 40s.

Could go to Toyota thirds and axles inside the stock Rover casings - you've got some good options then. EZ mod (tho I dont love the e-lockers) - very marginal for 40s. You need full width to clear anyway - those are 69" GM 35/30 spline D60' IIRC.

The frames original - desert find so was in great shape, Dipped the frame, bulkhead, breakfast, door frames, seatbox, tailgate - anything steel - 'cept the cage. Then Line-X where needed

Galv holds up better than paint, easier and helps with dissimilar metal corrosion - plus, submerged, it coats all the voids in the bulkhead. Tho we try to isolate everything, theres lots of Aluminum panels/stays/reinforcements that get ate up otherwise. Left the paint and original galv trim alone -like the patina. Carriers a bit overdone, but I'll never hafta fix it

ETA I need to pose up a car crushing shot
