I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Pontiac Aztek. Now that is an ugly POS. I couldn't believe they $22K for the base model. Eww....

Aztec. By a mile.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 3:28:34 AM EDT
In no particular order:

Aztec
Avalanche
H2
Honda Element and Insight

Oh, are we talking worldwide or just here in the US?
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 3:29:09 AM EDT
The H2 family......I can't stand them. I like the H1 a lot better.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 3:29:20 AM EDT
Um 99.9% of anything made after the 1960s.

Among my biggest peeves are the Identity Crisis Trucks. You know, the ones that can't decide if they're a pickup, Suv, or Sedan. ugh. Pick one function and stick with it.

Another is any automobile that attempts to make up for its lack of style by simply adding a good 6 inches of plastic trim to the exterior!

Basically cars went from looking pretty good in the 60s to "okay" in the 70s to "sub par but still not too bad" in the 80s to "omfg my eyes" in the 90s.

You know, that's going to give me nightmares. Gee thanks. BTW, has anyone noticed the trend of pimpin's out Chevy Caprices and Ford Crown Vics with lift kits and 22" crome wheels?

Yes, I drive a 95 Impala and want a caprice for a parts car, those fucking things cost alot of money regardless of condition.

People love to offer me $3000 for my Impala, even back when it looked new.

here is a story,
I saw a 95 Caprice, burning oil, and a few other things, I ask the person if they are interested in selling it, (it looked like it was ready to die, but I want the body of it) they say no, they are having rims put on it Friday.

Aztec! Ugliest ..car (Whatever it is)...ever
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 4:07:37 AM EDT
Scion
Element
Aztek (btw, there is one in the parking lot here that says
Aztek
Rally
Rally???????????????????? They think it can even go off road?)
Avalanches aren't that ugly, they are just such an incredibly stupid concept.

Aztek
Scion
That little Isuzu SUV that looks like a dead fish on wheels
Honda Element

And the ugliest car of the 90's:

For consistent ugliness and hideous lines, nothing beats the Pointiac Grand Am

That crap on the lower half of the car is just plain rediculous. It looks like a ground effects kit designed by someone with a severe mental defect.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 4:22:22 AM EDT
Avalanches are fugly. My father in law has one. It is one of the best riding and driving vehicles I've ever been in. It is just damn fugly.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 4:33:07 AM EDT
Probably the Aztek
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 4:40:29 AM EDT

Aztec
Avalanche
Scion xB
Hummer H2
Honda Element

It's amazing that Pontiac can make such ugly cars and yet make very nice ones at the same time. The Grand Am is undoubtedly ugly, I kind of like the Gran Prix Comp-G, they look nice in my opinion. The 4th gen. Firebird Trans-Ams and Firehawks look GREAT! I'm not a purist but I think those were some of the best birds ever made (as far as looks anyway). It just doesn't get better than an '02 firehawk in yellow with black trim (droool). MJD

The Honda Element is the box that the Scion xB comes in, which in turn is the box that cats shit in.

I have an '85 crown vic on it's last legs... I need to get rid of it, and get the wifey a nice little car. Think I could pawn it off for a few grand to someone who wants to put rims on it?
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 5:31:57 AM EDT
AZTEK, absolutely the ugliest American car/truck ever made. The first time I saw one, not knowing what it was, I thought somebody had pieced together a Frankencar for a movie or something. If you gave me one free of charge, my only thought would be how fast could I sell it and take the money to buy something else.

Runnerup: The Element. Not as godawful ugly as the Aztek, but you have to wonder what the design engineers were thinking. I have seen more attractive shoe boxes.

a lot of Chevy's current stuff is hideous, the Impala and Monte Carlo being the worst.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 5:43:39 AM EDT
The honda Element. I would walk before I drove one of them dam things.

I kind of like the Mini Cooper. But I would never buy one too small.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 5:50:07 AM EDT
PT Cruiser.....Aztec

Oh....and I never did get over the awful thing Ford did to their truck design when the took that masculine box frame and turned it into a goddam spaceship. Fuckers.

Went and bought a Dodge Ram to smite them.

I'm 6'-5", 225 and climbing. I drove a new Mini that an AF pilot friend of mine has. Plenty of legroom and interior space for two humans and a large canine. Worst part is the the front edge of the roof extends so far forward of the aft-most seating position that it's tough to see traffic lights when you're in pole position. Much, much, much roomier (and zoomier!) than the original Minis.

Pontiac Aztek

Every time I see one of those damn things I believe the driver owes me a buck or two for assaulting my vision with it's hideousness.
Link Posted: 1/7/2005 6:38:27 AM EDT
1) Scion - those things are fugly.
2) Honda Element - They are ALMOST as bad.
3) Aztek - But still alot better than the first two.

The Avalanche has been growing on me. Still don't like the looks, but I do like the concept.

Hey, I drive a Tiburon... and it's certainly not ugly. People have mistaken it for a Ferrari on occasions. Seriously. Now, I'm talking about the 03+ Tiburon. The older ones did look quite like turds. A lot of older Hyundais looked like turds, too.

Current Hyundais aren't too bad. The Tiburon is a beautiful car, the Sonata isn't too bad (the 05 got a facelift)

Now the Santa Fe is butt ugly.

The Scion TC is ugly. The Toyota Celica is ugly. The Acura RSX is too plain. The Honda Element looks like a turd on wheels.

I think the 05 Mustang is the best Mustang since 67, that is why I bought one 2 days after it shipped.
