It takes a lot of balls to move in next door to someone and then tell him to move because you don't like his pig farm.

They can build their mosque somewhere else.

Fuck those assholes.  Nobody is going to move in next to me and tell me what to raise, and I don't blame this guy for being pissed, especially after the muslim guy called him a liar at the town meeting.

The farmer should do everything he can legally to be a pain in the ass to these people.  Increase the number of hogs he raises, dig a new lagoon, hold more events and maybe a BBQ festival, dump pig blood all over the ground, anything he can think of.

They'll be plenty interested if there's any possible "retribution" against the mosque.

"I am just defending my rights and my property," Baker said. "They totally disrespected me and my family."

Initially Baker and Kamel Fotouh, the president of the 500-member Islamic Association, were on good terms. But things turned sour at a town meeting, where Baker says Fotouh insulted him by asking him to move.

"That was the last straw for me ... calling me a liar, especially in front of three or four hundred people at that meeting," Baker said. "Mr. Fotouh said it would be a good idea if I considered packing up my stuff and moving out further to the country."

WTF, quality reporting.   Why didn't they bother to ask Fotouh about the insult and disrespect?  Easy target, 300-400 witnesses, and the reporter didn't have the balls to say "Hey Fotouh, why did you ask him to move?"

Plenty of nice looking women in Katy Texas.  It is a west suburb of Houston.  Decidedly middle class.

Yes, you could easily hold a great BBQ/picnic/beauty pageant/greased pig wrestling contest there.

As the end of the video said, the farmer has even offered to buy the land from the Islamic Center. To the tune of 1.2 MILLION DOLLARS ??!? So it's obvious that they care more about moving the farmer than moving themselves, and making a statement of course.

Kind of fits a pattern of establishing mosques, or behaving weirdly on planes simply in order to get in the face of the infidel and use the system to subordinate their values to Islam's.

As any farm boy knows, them pigs can get real stinky if they and their pen[s] are not cared for.  If I were that farmer I'd let them pigs just live like some folks do in other parts of the world...you know, the ones where fresh water and bathing are very rare.

Eventually, the farmer's new neighbors will be smelling those piggies 24/7.

He and his neighbors should buy ALL the land that encircles the land bought for the mosque, and turn them ALL into pig farms.

He should also work on getting the county to adjust its zoning ordinances so that rural area is redesignated for use only for farming

and for single family residences.  No other purpose.   No businesses, no places of worship.

In Texas, he might make some traction on that.
I don't much care that his neighbors want to build a mosque.   What pisses me off is anybody who moves in and then demands

that long-standing local activities should be stopped for the convenience of the newcomer.

People who move near airports and train tracks and racetracks or shooting ranges should definitely have the sense not to complain about the noise

made at the airport, by trains,  or by the raceway on drag racing night, or by the shooting range.

You move into an area, and you accept what's already there.  That's proper.   If you don't like the local goings on, DON'T MOVE THERE.

I remember when the story first broke in late 2006. The local libtard media in typical fashion portrayed the Muslim group as poor victims:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4373941.html

Feroze said Muslims expected some backlash when they purchased the site, but were surprised at its intensity

"We came in with open arms ... ," he said. "There are so many good people in this area, we don't understand why we've gotten this treatment."
