Amazing movie. Visually awesome. Great story. Great characters. A little scary even.

Yeah I love Alien / Aliens and all the other classic sci fi movies...but this is my new favorite.

Yeah obviously not really realistic...the idea of restarting the sun with a "stellar bomb" that has the mass of Manhattan...I mean even a nuclear bomb with the mass of the entire earth wouldn't put a dent in the sun...and no heat shield could withstand getting anywhere near that close to the sun.

Still a very well made and well acted movie.

On HBO go now.

Check it out.

I enjoyed it a lot.

Not that this makes it any more plausible, but from what I read about the movie and details they didn't mention on screen, they were trying to knock a quantum 'Q-ball' out of the sun so that its output would be normal again.

The first hour and a half was great.

The rest absolutely sucked - as is typical for Danny Boyle movies.

Mercury crossing the Sun is one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen in a movie.

Ending was lame, but overall pretty good.

Had never seen it before it hit HBO Go. I liked it more than I thought I would. Had no idea Chris Evans was in it. Cillian Murphy was pretty good, as usual.

I love that scene.

I also thought that was another well applied use of 'Adagio in D minor' later in the movie.  (also used in Walking Dead and Kickass)

I like it and the music is some of my favorite.

Same guy that composed the haunting little tune in 28 days later also.

I liked it.  It lost me a bit when it became a conventional action movie toward the end, though.  Otherwise, it was great.

Has an absolutely fantastic original score too.

The music when kenada goes out is just awesome and turned up since in many other places. Notably kick ass.

My only issue is the last 5 minutes up till then it's a truly great sci fi film

I liked it. I do have an issue with the crew ( the last hope of humanity) making the choice of going off mission to the other ship. Just seemed like a dumb choice to me with so much at stake.

Sunshine was mostly good, but the plot shift and ending were meh.

Soundtrack is AMAZING.

OP would probably love 'Europa Report'.
