What did you guys think of the movie? I have never heard of it before but just watched, it has an all star cast. I thought it was very good.

Brilliant movie let down by the ending, and Mr Crispy.

Just started watching it and not too sure what's going on.  I'll have to watch it from the beginning next time.

You should definitely watch it from the start. The first 3/4 are the best of it. The ending itself is only ruined by Mr Battered Fish Face.

I saw it here in louisville in Theater. baxter Avenue theater. My wife and I both dig it. The only reason we even heard of it is my wife and one of my good friend's wife were talking about actors and they brought up cilian murphy.

Great movie. The visuals, color, subtle characters and score are outstanding. The plot generally makes the fine balance between science and fiction- It's both plausible enough to be believed and strange enough to be entertaining.

The ending takes a strange turn that was very out of character for the rest of the movie, and was really unnecessary. The final few scenes make up for it, though.

A good movie that could have been great, if it had a better ending.

I'm not saying the ending was bad, per say, just I wish they had gone another direction with it.

OK, then I'll say it: The ending was a puss-filled suck-fest.

The last 20 minutes of the plot looked like it was written by an 8-year-old.

Mercury crossing the sun was one of the most beautiful scenes I think I have ever seen.

And I think my favorite character was Serle, the psychiatrist guy.

"Oh I think we should have a vote!"  Serle:  "Screw voting.  The people on earth voted for us.  Now we are going to be the people they trusted and make the best decision possibble."   More or less

Meh. I've seen FAR worse.

It cold have been FAR better, though.

It still remains one of my favorite movies, for it's potential, if nothing else.

+1

It was pretty formulaic and predictable ––- that's acceptable to a point.  Moon was too.

But the way they delivered the story had bad pacing problems.  Combine that with the flimsy formulaic plot and it ends up being a pretty "meh" movie.

Just my 2 cents though.  I watch some terrible movies and love them.  I just don't call them "great".

I liked it. But it should have stayed a sci-fi mission all the way through. There was no need to make it a space-horror flick towards the end.

I think that's why they threw the extra weirdness in towards the end, to get to that plot point.

Good movie.

"Who are you?                JEW?"

"Adam Sors, Hungarian Olympic fencing champion."

THUMP! POW!

"What are you Jew?"

"Adam Sors, Officer in the Hungarian army and olympic gold medal winner."

EDIT -  We are talking about the same movie right??
