2 - It gives deer a day to recover. They are panic stricken when the season starts and most likely don't eat or sleep reguarly during the season. They are constantly pushed around the woods during the day when they are normally sleeping. And when the woods clear they have to try to eat and can't sleep then either.

I can see it now, Bambi relaxing and frolicking in the woods while loudly proclaiming "Thank God it's Sunday! Yippee!"

There were similar comments about game "needing a day off" in NC about Sunday hunting.  A wildlife biologist with WRC commented that all wildlife doesn't need a "day off", and they certainly don't all need the same day off.

I'm all for Sunday hunting, except perhaps for running deer with dogs.

We can hunt 7 days a week in TN and we have healthy deer herds.

Along with tossing that BS about no hunting on Sundays they should allow muzzle loaders other than flintlocks during ML season.  The Common Wealth state likes it traditions but it is time to move into the 21st century.

Sure, why not?

Hikers need to stop being retarded during hunting season. When you're hiking in the State Game Lands, you should be wearing blaze orange.

Not allowed in PA regardless.

Where the hell in PA are deer running thin? They're literally starving to death around here because there's so many of them.

We do have a season for inlines etc.

The thin deer herd is due to the elimination of a separate buck/doe seasons

This is exactly why I wouldn't want them to change it. As stated, there already is a season for people who want to use inlines.
The Muzzleloading season is supposed to be a PRIMATIVE season––pre caplock. It gives us a chance to use our rocklocks
when the deer have calmed down from the regular season. Along with muzzleloader season we have the 2nd archery and
grouse seasons. We are allowed to use conical bullets and those sabot thingys if you want, but I prefer to go all traditional,
round ball, patch, real black powder. Get them within 75-100 yards and poof, venison steak

We're thick with them in the Laurel Highlands/South Central area. I saw the biggest buck ever at the (active) shooting range last weekend. He truly didn't give a fuck and was about 60yards from the benches.

We have the same no Sunday hunting crap here in Virginia.

To be honest I don't really care if there is no Sunday hunting but it's the fake science they put behind it to justify it that torques the heck out of me as it's always been religiously motivated. It just goes to show how religion should never mix with gov policy.

No doubt the Sunday hunting ban is a relic of the Blue Laws of the Bible Belt.

You're supposed to be in church on Sunday, not out shopping or hunting.

I also heard that gunfire disturbs the sabbath.  That might be the reason Sunday fishing wasn't banned.
