There's a big log of summer sausage sitting in the frige right now. Is this stuff any good? Should I try it?

Poll to follow.

Summer sausage with good cheese and brown bread. An apple sliced up and maybe some seedless grapes. Wash it down with good beer. That's a pretty good little meal.

Not only yes but HELL YES!

Ritz cracker, summer sausage, and sharp cheddar. Spicey or dijon mustard optional.

Yes, with sharp cheddar and pumperknickel or crackers.

And icy cold beer to wash it down.

I ate all mine. I make my own beef jerky, beef snack sticks, smoked cheese and smoked fish. My next kitchen project might be to make my own summer sausage!

I wouldn't suggest a diet rich in summer sausage year around, but I really like it occasionally with cheese, crackers, and spicy mustard.
