And they all looked at me like I was a crazy gun toting nazi .  I tried to explain that it was a great stress reliever and could actually be fun . I told them at shooting ranges ( we have some really good out door ranges here ) and  that you can rent thier guns and but thier own ammo . they were not having it .
Now they all think I am a dangerous criminal ..

My work group is fairly small about 7 people all about my age ( 24-29) and there is only 2 girls .. they opted for bowling instead hinking.gif

I didnt think it was a wierd idea considering that we all are about the same age and there has been alot of curiousity in the office about shooting since the ban lifted..

Explain why this is wierd..

No i didn't mean your idea was weird I just say "come up with a weird idea next week"  I think it would be quite funny.

Shooting range sounds fun to me!

We had a group shoot once at ConocoPhillips.  Took one of the English guys out shooting and he really enjoyed it.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

I never like to bring more than 1 or 2 new people shooting at a time.  Otherwise it can turn into quite a circus.

Probably not a very good work outing. I have done this with co-workers that own guns and it is a good time; but to take a group of people that are inexperienced would be a nightmare. First you would have to explain basic safety, stance, etc, and they would get bored waiting their turn.

Do it one-on-one until everyone is comfortable and able to take care of themselves at the range.

I agree, one or two non-shooters to the range at a time is enough.

Now start mumbling to yourself at work and whenever they walk by your work station kinda hunch over and look at them suspiciously like you're hiding some kind of small object.  Make little comments like "You know who's birthday it is, right?  Lee Harvey Oswald's" (big grin)

I work for a British company, and whenever we have people come over here, they usually ask me to take them to the range.  They get big silly grins shooting what to them are "mythic" guns like the 1911, AR15, AK, etc.   Plus, they all treat me very respectfully afterwards.

Hahaha, at my work, I've taken just about everyone to the range at least once, and I've gotten a few to even buy pistols.  I like my work.
