My plan was so simple. Leave work early, get a jump on traffic, and get home in time to get out to the woods for a beautiful evening hunt. Then I realize crazy uncle Joe was in town today pimping Hillary. I had the esteemed honor of being stuck on the Fort Duquesne bridge waiting for the f.cker to make his exit from town -- at least I was at the front of the line

We have Obama shutting down driving in LA today.  Good thing I'm not driving there

The fort location would be just over the far right of this picture.

Hillary has most of Broward county shut down from her travels today.

I go to DC/Arlington more regularly than I prefer.  No warning and not rare.  Luckily FBHO mostly choppers wherever he wants to go.

Get out and wave your CCW badge and fire off a couple rounds. They'll let you through.

This stoppage was only 5 minutes in and some random white motorist came walking past my car towards the state police cruiser you see directly in the forefront of the pic.

He intended to inquire how long this stoppage might last (I know this because I had lowered my window to tell him what the stoppage was about as he passed).

A rather large state trooper -- black guy -- got out of the cruiser and immediately chided the guy, when he was about 30ft from the car, in an aggressive tone of voice, and told him to get back, and go back to his car. The guy turned around and complied with out incident.

5 to 10 minutes later, a random black motorist walked past my car and walked the whole way up to the cruiser's door. This same trooper gets out and has, what appears to be, a polite couple of minutes conversation with the guy and advises him to return to his car -- the guy then does.

Just a weird dynamic that I'm relating. This traffic stoppage only lasted 20 minutes, but I witnessed discrepancies.

He did that here a couple of weeks ago. During rush hour.

He doesn't swing that way; Trump is not an adolescent female.

Uh oh.  We're almost neighbors.  But I'm about 7 miles from BRB.

And I am so glad I rarely have to drive through that city on the parkway anymore.

And I think I've seen that state trooper before, sitting at the Ft Pitt tunnel entrance.  Those guys get lots of sleep on that spot, or at least lots of crossword puzzle time.   I suppose they mostly wait there for the rush hour fender benders.   It can't be speeding, since traffic is always at a crawl.

This is a VERY regular thing for me:

Joe lives in an area between my house and the ex. I'll see the entourage of police cars and SUVs lined waiting to block traffic fairly regularly when I go to pick up the kids.  My daughters music teacher lives nearby to him and I have to drive past his house. And he travels near where I work, and it always seems to me to be right at lunch time. I understand your frustration....another reason I can't wait until January.

I live west of the city and if it wasn't for a few close friends and family I would never cross through the city. I absolutely hate dealing with all the traffic at the tunnels and multiple lane change interchanges!

I didn't even know that uncle Joe was in town yesterday until I heard it on the radio on my way in to work. Does anyone even show up to see him?
