I know black twins that everyone calls blackie and butter. Their mom started it when they were kids, since one was dark and one was lighter.

That's how their names were announced on the high school football field, and they were good, so you heard about blackie and butter all the time.

When I worked at the prison there was a Native American inmate named Michael Mike.

Come to think of it there were other Native Americans with unusual names, but I can't think of them right now.

Lots of old weird names from the pharmacy in high school and later on as a nurse. Indian folks would get pissy when you couldn't fit seventeen letters in the space designed for seven on the assignment board.

My cousin is now Ruth Ruth after she got married.

Linux and Unix went to ES with my kids.

Then I got to this and I now have tears running down my face from laughing so hard.

Right out of law school I prosecuted traffic and ordinance violations in one of the midwest's premier shitholes. Lots of fantastic names came through there.

My Favorite: Clantavious (first name) middle and last were great too, but im not going to post them

Foreign names are often weird to us.

Malagasy (from Madagascar) names are stupid long. I can only imagine what government forms look like - I assume the first page is for name.

About 15 years ago, I had a client with the legal first name of 5/8.
