I had a really wierd dream this A.M. which involved me shooting my FAL at armed enemies and it wouldn't go into battery.  With MY FAL there's no kind of forward assist, and that kind of jam would leave me FUBAR in any kind of confrontation.

I've fired this FAL lots and adjusted the gas relief valve to work perfectly for most ammo and have no reason to question it's reliability, but the forward assist on my AR is sort of a security.

Another perfectly good reason to use a G3 over a FAL!!!

This is funny, just this AM I had a dream I was with some Marines (work with them sometimes, but as a civilian contractor) and my childhood friend's house was being attacked, so we all ran back to a Humvee and I grabbed an M-16, and a duffle bag of ammo.  All the ammo turned out to be snapcaps, though I kept trying to put them into the mag (dreams don't make sense) and they kept popping out like a bad USA mag.  When I finally got a few in the mag, I couldn't chamber a round, and by then all the Marines were way off in the woods shooting.

1) You need to sleep with your tinfoil ON, not just near you.

2) How many times have you actually used your FA? I know this is a Ford/Chevy debate, but the FA is rarely if ever used, IIRC was NOT in the original design, and is like unarmed NG troops at the airport. Put there to make people feel safe.

IMHO, if a round fails to go into battery there is a more pressing issue other than "It just needs a little nudge".

In my dreams i shoot the bad guys with my 9mm but it just bounces off. I think all the anti-9mm propaganda i read on this board has givin my G19 an inferiority complex.
