Yeah, my apologies for the crappy picture.

This is a picture of the fusebox in one of my barns.  The barn is circa 1850.  Unknown when the electrical was added.

"Hartford, Conn." is also listed on the fusebox.  Didn't know Colt was into electrical units back in the day.

E-Bay.
Worth at least $5,000. (write "Sam C" on the inside)  Extra $ if you can see a shadow that looks like Jesus.

Look up Colt's history...it wasn't until relativly recently in it's history that it became a firearms-only company.  They made and sold a lot of things..

I am suprised they sold it to a civillian...

Is it a L.E. marked fuse box?

Quite valuable to those in AWB states, I would presume.

A friend at work here has an old farm house.  The original homesite has a Colt carbide tank buried in the back yard providing acetylene fuel for lights.  I found the whole setup rather interesting.

You will find that most arms companies in the US made everything from apple peelers to tin cups back in the day.  What many "historians" want you to forget is that modern American manufacturing owes just about everything to the the manufacture of firearms.  This is where just about every advance in manufacturing technology started.  Automotive and aircraft technology would follow suit many years later.

Yeah,  the firearms manufacturers made all kind of stuff when the gun business was slow.  I heard Colt/Ruger/someone made toilet handles at one time.  Worth all kind of money if you see one.....
