Yeah, our power keeps flipping on & off.  Biggest problem is the trees didn't have time to drop their leaves and the snow is very wet.  Oh well, better get the dog sled tied up and back into my Igloo.

That sucks! I'm up here on the slope, I was hoping it would hold off a couple more weeks or MONTHS! We had a good summer though! It snowed up here a couple days ago, most melted, but now the lakes are freezing up.

The birch trees were very diseaesed this summer from a one-two blow of hot drought conditions and leaf borer worms.  Now the wet heavy snow is bowing them over my powerlines, and I cant find the goddamn come-along and towing strap to bunch the bending trees together.  The power company's phone lines are jammed, no tree surgeons are at work, all my friends are out of town.

PLEASE DO NOT BREAK, BIRCHIES!

TrksNguns which facility are you working at? I have spent a number of years on the slope. When Winter sets in good and hard I am going to do a little Wolf hunting just South of the Brooks Range. Have you had the pleasure of going down the Haul Road? The South side of the Brooks is one of the nicest places I have ever seen especially in the fall.

I expected a beautiful view of the Alaskan wilderness but I look at the first pic and it's snow on a dumpster, could have been in Cleveland.
The second one is better though.

Fairly sunny in Oregon, I spent the day putting my 1970 camper (billbo's old pos) on my 1999 truck.  Kind of looks like a rerun of sanford and son.   I miss the snow.....  Portland shut down with our 2" last year.

I couldn't sleep due to a hurricane then had no power until recently.
Funny how one person can complain about a snow storm and another person complain about a hurricane in the same day.

HIgh 70, Low 40 partly cloudy chance of showers, just like 99% of every other day.....

Something to be said for temperate climates.
