Steve, a friend of a friend has a situation. This guy has a Berretta 9mm , model 3842 that his father brought back from WWII. Originally the gun fired in both full and semi auto. It had 2 triggers, one for full one for semi. It is an open bolt firing weapon. The question is, if he has removed the trigger and components to no longer allow it top fire full auto is that ok? I thought anything that had open bolt configuration was a no-no to begin with so disabling it to go FA shouldn't matter from what I thought. I am quite sure the gun is not on the NFA registry. What should this guy do. I am sorry if this is too much like the "inherited m-16" thread but with the gun not being able to function in FA and it being a WWII war relic I didnt know if there was other rules pertaining to it. Ok I thought that was the case on this. So basically he needs to hide the gun until the vetrans amnesty becomes a law, or destroy it. I will let him know. [beer]
