I'm looking for an optic for an AR pistol and the SPARC AR looks appealing in the it's price range.

Ideally I'd like to slap an Aimpoint PRO on it but the cost is nearly double.

Anything else to consider around $200?

I like my Sparc AR, but if you're looking at other options, I'd look at the Sig Romeo 4. I think you can find them around $200 if you find them on sale.

Primary Arms, Holosun, and Sig all have micro dots in that price range.

Aren't those all built by the same manufacturer?

Primary Arms and Holosun micro dots come from the same Chinese factory, Sig most likely makes the Romeo 4's there as well. Primary Arms sells Holosun optics as well and even has a model with their ACSS reticle.

PA MD-ADS is lightyears ahead of the SPARC AR in terms of battery life. I've had mine on since they were released October 14.

My local shop had a sale on the Sparc AR for $140.  Nice little sight and hard to beat at that price, plus you can't go wrong with the Vortex warranty.  I haven't seen that Spitfire AR but I REALLY like the way that reticle looks.

Tagged for interest, what about SIG's "Big" Red Dot Romeo 7?

Just shot mine today, i love the reticle.  I also love how it is etched on the glass so you dont even need to turn it on to use it.

I ordered a sparc from PSA for $139 shipped, on Friday. Might be able to get it still

Also , if you are leaning toward an aim point pro, the vortex strikefire will give it a run for its money.
Physically very similar in size and shape, with price of 179 all day long, but you can find better deals.

I have vortex strikefire, aimpoint pros, t1s, and a couple of Burris red dots. The strikefire is the best value overall.
They offer red dot only, and a red/green version. I like red only, it's brighter.

Good luck
